I really talked this place up to some of my friends, the food was fabulous, the staff is great, blah blah blah. SO we decide to do lunch at C&J's Country Fixings before hitting a winery (Feb 2023). I was SO freakin embarrassed to have made such a big deal to my friends over this place. We Sat in the bar area and waited for around 15/20 mins for a server. When one failed to appear I went to the back and asked for one to take our orders. Order taken and we got water. Finally we had a lady get our bar orders. Food comes, we eat, we drink (no refills offered on our bar tab). Food was on the down side of so-so (not at all like what I've had the 3x's before this visit). SO we wait about 30 mins (again) to pay our restaurant bill. Food bill paid. While waiting to pay our bar tab we noticed 4 different couples come in and leave because no employees were in the bar. No employee PERIOD! 6 Bloody Mary's, 2 beers and 3 tequila shots is what we had, we WAITED and LOOKED for someone to take our money and found NO ONE! (We didn't even get a bill for our drinks) I really wanted this place to work. Prior visits, food was wonderful and service was great. After this sad visit I'd rather go to another place. I do wish the owners the best of luck since Bristow needs a place that offers a menu with variety. Unfortunately the day of our visit wasn't a good one, mediocre food and nearly non existent service.

UPDATE! Since my last review I'd say things have really changed! Good changes! A new remodel with the expected country rustic charm and a new MENU! One that causes the food angels to sing and shine their light! The owners have revamped and recharged, new employees as well. Greeted nicely upon entering and swifty service for drinks and giving the daily rundown on specials. Being diabetic, I'm focused on low carb meals with taste. (Saving some carb counting for a sweet nibble after the meal). And they will accommodate my needs everytime! Huge win! Totally worth a little visit to Bristow, Ok to have a good...

We walked in excited to find some ice cream. We made our way to the sweet shop in the back only to find a group of 4-5 employees behind the counter all talking and no one acknowledging us. Finally a server walked by with her hands full and asked if we needed help. Eventually another employee came over, a bit flustered and asked us under her breath what we wanted. We asked for soft serve, given the giant machine we saw, and she just said “we don’t have that.” So I asked if there is ice cream and she shuffled to the ice cream they had to offer and raffled off some flavors. I asked for one in a cone and she was very confused for whatever reason. Then she left the area without saying anything and we were left still standing there.

All in all, avoid this place. We wanted to support local but just go get Sonic...

C&Js fixins is terrible! Ordered a baked potato with my grilled chicken. Baked potatoes werent ready so opted for a baked sweet potato. It smelled burned and I'm sure it was reheated from yesterday wrapped in plastic wrap and thrown in microwave. Green beans leftovers too. Roll was hard and tough. Chicken had an odd texture but tasted pretty good. My brother's salad had fruit in it-the mandarin oranges were from a can, the strawberries were on the verge of going bad and the apples were discolored and pithy. We will...
