Dollar General — Local services in Britt

I went to the Dollar General Store in Britt, IA. After a long day of traveling, I made a pitstop here to grab a few things before I made it home. I did not want to stop at the supercenter store. I needed some place that could be quick in and out. The store was about to close when I stepped inside. I apologized for being there so close to closing time. The cashier said it was ok and then told me where to find the few quick items I needed. The two cashiers in the store were both very friendly and nice. Excellent, Friendly, Helpful Staff, that understandably so, elude to the fact that they are real human beings, INSTEAD of mindless programmed automatons armed with an absolute absence of personality and an undying devotion to divulge anything personal and positive which carries the alarmingly high risk of inspiring socially acceptable inter-personal relationships, and repeat business by choice, instead of circumstance. Customer service is poor! I don’t mind self check outs but if you are going to limit it to 5 items make sure there is someone around to work at the register. I stood there so long that my freezer items thawed and the guy that was delivering drinks and chips to the store gave me an apologetic look every time he walked by me.
