Same as the last guy. Couldn’t get deposit back. I didn’t read it that the deposit was none refundable. My fault. Should have paid attention. Didn’t read that cause I booked it late at night on a Saturday I think. Again my fault. I received a confirmation email immediately after the first $100 deposit. Didn’t read it. Again it was late I knew it said it would take a $100 out for deposit. That Monday I get an email from the Lodge saying I charged your card for an additional $150. The site they use for booking made a mistake. What I spend my extra money on is my business but I don’t mind sharing. I love sports cards. I knew I had a bonus coming up from work for our profit share so I spent my extra money on cards. My account was low. I see that my card is being charged an extra $150 and I may not have the money. I called and told them that. Even said I spent it all on cards. That I sent an email back saying not to charge my card without my consent. She apologized and said they would cancel that and hopefully I would get it back within 6 business days. So I scrambled and borrows some money just to make sure I don’t over draft. I didn’t and the money went back in two days as well. It worked out. But I didn’t lose it for them running my card again without my consent so when I canceled today(because I just didn’t get the kind of bonus I thought I would) I didn’t read that there was no refunding of the deposit. Bummer. But I know that place would have easily booked before the end of June and the fact is as you said to the last guy that we are all struggling(because of covid and other circumstances) I see why they kept that deposit. But don’t think I won’t be putting in a review and get my $250 worth by letting others know that even though we all struggle they won’t really help you out. Don’t think I won’t be putting in a BBB review as well about how you ran my card without my consent after explicitly asking you not too. And don’t think I won’t see what kind of legal ramifications that may...

I have stayed at many different cabins in Broken Bow but for us, nothing compares to Bear Mountain Lodging. The cabins are always spotless, very well maintained and Shari is always quick to respond and does everything she can for any accommodation you may need. We now plan our visits around the availability of her cabins. We just finished a 4 night stay at the Rio Vista and it was nothing short of breath taking. The views, the rooms, pool table, hot tub, kitchen.. everything about it was perfect. We had 12 people in the cabin and everything we did felt like we had plenty of room to stretch out and be comfy. Our favorite cabin is Rustic Romance but the Rio cabin is impossible to beat overall. The only heads up I’d give for anyone planning a stay at this cabin would be to plan for a very adventurous and steep drive up to the cabin. It’s a beautiful drive but it has several hair pin turns on the way up. We were pulling a 21 ft boat and towards the end of the road to the cabin we needed to use 4 wheel drive and had to be very careful not to let the trailer wheels get off the steep curves. I’d imagine if it hadn’t rained so much recently that we wouldn’t have needed the 4 wheel drive at all and everyone else who drove regular cars there, got up there 100% fine. Once you get to the cabin area there is plenty of room to park many vehicles and turn a trailer around. We pulled the boat up there from the lake a few different times and it was fine. we stayed in the Rustic Romance cabin for 3 nights and what a wonderful place to enjoy time with a loved one. Location: close to food/gas station but tucked back in a corner/cove of trees. we could barley see one neighbors cabin, great for privacy on the back patio. Amenities: the soaking tub, hot tub, and swing bed on the balcony were incredibly wonderful/romantic touches. I loved all the fireplaces and how easy they were to use!! It's also nice to have most of the things you need in the cabin, all I had to do was bring the food! Even though we head out to the woods for quiet time, it is nice to have access to the internet/tv if you want it. I liked that we had good service inside/outside the cabin.

they had love songs playing on the tv when we arrived which I thought was a nice touch. the cabin smelled wonderful, was very clean, and everything worked as it should. Living room recliners/master bed are comfortable. Shower is Amazing!!

our ONE and ONLY complaint is the absolutely wretched road leading to the cabin - I would recommend letting guests know about the ginormous potholes and extremely rough ride from the turnoff of 275 until you reach the cabin driveway.
