I would give them a zero rating if I could. We rented a cabin, Over Yonder, from Danielle with Moonlit Cabins. About five days previous to our stay I contacted her by phone. I questioned our reservation because I had not been charged for the cabin. I placed her on speaker phone so that my husband and I could both talk with her. She repeatedly assured us that we had reservations. She said, “You’re all good. Don’t worry. I saw your name and reservation come across the list. I’ll get your card charged and send you directions this week.” On Friday, my family and I left for Broken Bow. I called Danielle to get directions to the cabin named Over Yonder. She said she thought there was a mix up with the cabin and someone else was staying in it. I explained everything again to her about our phone call earlier that week. She said there was a new girl working and she would need to call another lady and get back with me. I asked, “Are you going to call me right back? My family and I are halfway to Broken Bow.” Danielle said, “Yes, I’ll call you right back.” I explained that two of my sons drove in from Dallas. One of them took a day of vacation. The weekend was a birthday celebration for my granddaughter and myself. Our vehicle was packed with fishing gear, luggage, food, birthday cake, birthday gifts, and more. Danielle never called me back. She sent a text message. It was mostly excuses and rambling. She texted that the owners were in the cabin we rented. She did not offer any help of any kind whatsoever to remedy the problem for the weekend. She said (via text) we could make reservations at a later time which included a free night. I repeatedly called as did my husband. No answer. I texted her asking her to call me. Danielle texted back saying she didn’t have any service and she would call me back ASAP. She has never returned my call as of yet. Please be very CAUTIOUS if renting from Moonlit Cabins and Danielle. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.    Read moreI made a reservation for a cabin back in June for the fall break weekend which is always a busy time in Broken Bow. Paid my deposit and on 8/24/21 was going to look at the photos of the cabin and it was no longer on their website. Sent an email to the company with no response. I called and Glinda answered the phone and told me that yes she saw my reservation and would call me back if there was an issue.
She calls me 20 minutes later and says that she talked to the owners and the cabin has switched to another management company and they wouldn’t honor the reservation. So I asked to talk to Johnny or Danielle the owners and they said they would call me that evening. They never did. Call back the next day and talk to Glinda again and she said she would leave a message for the owners and they would call me back. She then calls me back and leaves a voice mail with the supposed owner of the cabin and her personal phone number and says they are refunding my deposit.
Do they honestly expect me to call the owner of the property and get him to honor the reservation? I call again asking to talk to the owners and told Glinda if I didn’t hear from then I would leave a review. She begged for me to not leave a negative review and assured me that the owners would call me back. That was two days ago. And I still haven’t received my refund. I guess the saving grace is I paid by credit card so I can dispute the charge. I will also be placing a call to the better business bureau.
Now if you’ll excuse me I need to try to find some cabin 6 weeks out. It’ll be slim pickings due to a company that doesn’t care about...
   Read moreI would give them zero stars if I could. Grace’s Place appeared to be a clean, lovely cabin. However, as we were stripping the bed to leave the cabin, we discovered the mattress topper was stained. The stains appeared to be bodily fluids (blood and urine) and kool-aid or another red drink, and they were in multiple places on the mattress topper.
When I brought this to the property management’s attention, the response I received was appalling. Sarah, the property manager, told me that the person who cleans the cabin had bleached the mattress topper, so it was fine. Not only did the manager of this property know about the stained mattress topper, but she allowed it to be put back on the bed after it was “disinfected” with bleach.
Other additional complaints about this cabin: there was hair on the bed sheets (not ours), the pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and the refrigerator wasn’t working when we arrived. We were told to unplug it and plug it back in. When we did that, the problem was fixed - but it shouldn’t be the responsibility of the paying customer to ensure that a refrigerator is working.
Sarah is the face of the company, and she is horrible. She doesn’t really care about customers and/or their experience. I left a comment on their Facebook page.
