Live Load Experience Checked in at 3:30pm for a 12pm-11pm fcfs. The guard shack process was quick. They hand you a piece of paper to fill out later and give them on the way out. Lot to drop your trl, or park w trl, is VERY tight. After some struggle, the yard dog let me park in the muddy dirt lot. I had to go over the curbs there to get in that spot. This is done at about 4 pm, and I walk over to the shipping office. They take my info and tell me to wait. Someone will get me for a door. I'm on the door by 4:30 pm. It is very easy to back into, lots of pull-up space, although a lot of traffic. You dolley down and unhook, pull out from underneath trailer and wait. Someone comes to tell you they are finish loading you and now (which was about 6:30pm for me) you reconnect and park in this row of parked trucks at the front, which was a lot easier backing. I go in for my bols, but they aren't ready yet. I get them around 8:30 pm, but I can't leave until the temp reads in the range of bols' temp. It took around two hours for my reefer to go from 25 to -10. Then I slept an extra 2 and was out the gate by 12:30am.
NOTES Don't put the seal on before you leave. Guard needs to check inside trailer..
Wear hi-vis vest.
I got a washout just in case, for a trailer that maybe had a few wood chips here and there, but no one checked my trailer at the guard shack. Neither did they check the fuel level. However, they did when I left, so maybe it depends on the person.
It's the only tyson that doesn't have a smell. The other reviewers must have been there on a bad day, or they went above and beyond to fix the problem.
It's true. Some people do seem a little grumpy. Maybe they are tired of having to say the same things over and over.
Bathrooms for each gender. Has stalls.
Vending machines in a big break room.
3 star because it's small and crowded. It's the kind of place that's irritating, but you'll be okay. 7 hours for me. I expected...
Read morePersonally, it’s just another Tyson to me- There was one that I went to in Mississippi that was A LOT worse!
The guard and people working there were pretty friendly- It’s hard to keep up a good attitude working in these places but they’re doing a good job of it, as far as I am concerned.
Of course, when Tyson says it’s going to be awhile you might as well get comfortable...
So, I’m kickin’ back over here at the Gasquatch truck stop just down the road, Southwards.
It’s probably the best little independent truckstop in this part of Oklahoma.
They’re expanding the parking and they’ve got pretty decent food in house with a theatre,an additional Mexican restaurant and a pretty cool Muscle car collection inside their place(about a dozen).
It is a unique set-up, a different change of pace.
Pretty new&clean- I don’t think that they have any showers, though.
Lots of overpriced Sasquatch stuff but I liked the view outback and it doesn’t smell like Tyson!
You can probably fit 30 rigs back here and if you’re just bob-tailing over from Tyson then I’m sure that you can find a spot...
Read moreTerrible smell, no signal, unprofessional staff, and don’t expect to be here less than 8 hours. And to top it off the load me with expired food. So when I arrived at the receiver in Columbus IN they said product was pass the killing date. Then they told me to bring the product back to Tyson in green forest AR where they took another 14 hours to unload only 6 pallets and the facility there is even worst than in OK. and they didn’t even want to pay me for returning trip. The whole trip was a terrible experience. ( this was on April 18/18 ) I didn’t put comment before until now because of no signal. And today I was accepting another load and when they told me it was pickup up from here right away I refuse it. I don’t want to come back here never again. I haul a lot of loads from Tyson and haven’t had issues before but with these 2 locations I suggest truckers to keep...
