We scheduled an appointment to have a tech come and look at our oven. Over the phone we were quoted $75 which turned out to be $85 when the tech arrived which is the least of reasons why we are leaving a negative review.
When scheduling the appointment we provided the make and model number of the oven along with what was the issue. We were told they needed the model number so the tech could have the information he needed when he arrived.
The technician arrived and spent an hour taking apart various parts of the oven. He asked for the wiring diagram which we did not have at the time but told him we could pull it up on the computer. He said that was fine and that he thought it could be a couple different things and was going to do some research and get back to us later in the day. I got a call this morning saying the parts for the oven (any parts) are no longer available. I find it very hard to believe you cannot track them down anywhere but again not the only complaint. We’ve called other appliance repair places and they were told he could have bypassed one possible issue he thought it was to see if that was the problem or not, we were told we’d have to pay for parts put in even if they didn’t fix the problem and for service fees every time he came out and we were told by the tech “well this could take multiple trips”. When contacting them with our complaints they responded “So what do you want us to do” with a rude tone and refused to give us any information on what we could do if anything or even refer us to someone for a new oven. Read moreI will start by saying we have used Dave’s before and had great service. Recommended it to plenty of other people. But yesterday and Thursday we’re totally different. Woke up Thursday to no freezer and fridge was warm. Called Dave’s out and they came out that afternoon. Was never told how much service charge would be so I could leave payment. Tech came out from start to finish being in my driveway. Was there only 15 minutes. Took five minutes to open up the back of the refrigerator touch a couple things and said it was a bad compressor. Never put a tool or multimeter to it to check for compression. Started off by saying it’s the compressor then I think it’s the compressor. Called yesterday to pay $115 service charge as well as coordinate repair. Asked questions about how positive they were that it was the compressor since he never used tools or said I think it is. Didn’t want to pay for repair if we weren’t positive, honestly service charge was way too high for five minutes of actual work and 10 minutes of talking. Was also told I had to coordinate getting the parts from LG but was also told that was figured into $115. Why I was paying for them to do it if I had to do it myself. Was told Jon would call me back. Jon called me back telling me to keep my money and never call again and hung up on me. Called back to try to have a conversation with Johnand was told he was the owner and that I should shut up. Rick has helped us many times with delivery service & he has been on time every time. We recently did a special order with Lisa & once again Rick delivered our appliances in perfect condition.
