Made an appointment to have a beef butchered 2 weeks ago. Saw the front person actually write it on the calendar. The beef we were planning to have butchered was a bit wild and requested she not be out in pens where she would most likely attempt to escape. Possibly harming herself and their pens. They said it was no problem they would kill her in trailer and move inside after. Appointment was made for 8am today. I arrived at 7:50 and waited for them to open. They actually drove oast me when they arrived to open. At 8am I entered and was told it was a 2 hour wait. I reminded them that arrangements had been made to avoid pens and was told I could sit with her in trailer for the 2 hours and it was already 90° and rising. I had traveled 30 minutes to deliver her and was expected at work as I was only going in late to bring this beef to slaughter. I was told they forgot and there was nothing they could do , I should try a shop in a neighboring town.

I drive with trailer and beef in tow to their retail store hoping to speak with the owner and present the situation to him, which I did to find he did not care and said there was nothing they would do to remedy this. They forgot and I was out of luck. He said they had killed a beef at 8am and they would not be ready for another til 10am, when I explained I had an appointment he stated that they do not make appointments. Well they did and since I was obviously being lied to knew that a person is only as good as their word and their word was bulldhit and if you will lie to someone you will steal from them. I unloaded the cow as soon as I arrived back home and she was barely able to move, panting, tongue hanging from her mouth... The heat was overwhelming her and I feared she may not survive. Luckily we got her back in her barn and plenty of cool water just in time. This place will lie to you and run you around and tell you they don't care about your inconvenience or harm to animals. I recommend avoiding any business with the company at their butcher shop or retail store. They lie and feel their time more important than anyone else's. Their customer service is the worst I...

Was recently purchased by a group of local livestock producers, in my opinion have already made a big difference for the better. Phillip, Jeff and Doug are top notch honest people.
