Shopper Beware!!! I bought half a cow from a wonderful farm near Jackson, MS. Split it with another lady. My half hanging weight was 252.5 lbs. I only wanted ground beef. I wound up with 124 lbs of 85/15 ground meat. The rancher I bought it from estimated that we would get 170-180 lbs of ground beef. This place tried to tell me that over 120 lbs of my half calf was bones. I’m not a butcher. But I’m not crazy. They also told me it would be $.80 lb. to process. My fault for not checking it out more thoroughly before I left, but they charged me $.90 lb. Also, how did I get 124 lbs and the other lady got 118 lbs. This place is seriously sketch. Stay away!!! It’s worth waiting for a reputable processor. Someone is enjoying 40+ lbs of my meat. Country Meat...

We have German Shepherds and they love to chew on cow bones so… we come to The Country Meat Market (on Hwy 550 outside of Brookhaven) and they are so very friendly,helpful and never charge us for the bones.
