Dollar General — Local services in Brookhaven

It's all about stock and checkout. Like this DG for its semi-rural location and for the fact that it's usually well-stocked. I, however, HATE the register setup. Had to wait in line behind one woman who waited until she was checking out to drag out her nickels to pay and another elderly lady behind her with a buggy load. The lady immediately behind her was immediately called to be waited on at another register they chose to open as I was approaching the registers. However, while I'm waiting to see whether the elderly lady in front of me wants to go to the newly opened register, another girl comes from the opposite side of the registers and the cashier at the newly opened register takes her with no consideration of me or the other people she KNEW were waiting to check out. To make matters worse, this customer ALSO decides to wait until she's at the register to check to see if she can actually pay for her purchase. I realize no one can predict what a customer may do at the register, but it's absolutely a cashier's responsibility (and in this case I think a manager in plain clothes) to take the customer who comes first and has been...

This store is very conveniently located. My brother had a stomach bug and this store saved me from having to go into the bustling metropolis that is Brookhaven, MS for some Imodium. Factoring in the low wages of their employees, people should be singing their praises for anyone willing to just show up and do the job. Very grateful...

Need to teach the idiots there, manors and not to cuss in front of customers and also they need more training on how to use their cash register. Young guy working tonight at 8:44 was say damn this and damn that. Where have manors and morals gone? Is it too much to ask for...
