If you were to tell me a few months ago, I would complete a 6 week fitness challenge, I would have laughed! Just like your favorite oil & vinegar salad dressing, fitness and I don't go together! Brief history about me. I'm morbidly overweight to the point where I was bedridden My first interaction, I told them I could not stand for more than a minute or two at a time.Ā And I was worried I wouldn't be able to do the exercises everyone else was doing and I felt embarrassed.. The confidence that they had,Ā intrigued me. They explained that I can do what I can.Ā Ā The coach said, "If you can't stand I'll make you sweat sitting down!" Still I had my doubts!Ā I mean,Ā I've been on every diet and plan you can think of. This, was going to be among the list of failures I've already compiled in the pass 25 years. My problems with succeeding are probably the same as anyone else. Doing it alone, embarrassment, Lasting motivation.Ā I had no vested interest nor support or accountability.. In my opinion that's what separates this program from the others! I mean,Ā a salad is just a salad,Ā a push up is just a push up, no difference from any other program.... What makes them different is the engagement the staff and coaches give you!Ā The accountability of weigh ins every Monday. I small tweaks to my diet the coaches recommend when my results are not where I wanted them to be!Ā The support from the staff and other challengers, encouraging and motivating me to do better! At the end of my 6 week challenge I lost a total of 55lbs and I'm walking better and continue to see results everyday... Now my results are not typical, but you WILL see results!Ā I signed up for another challenge and will tomorrow to do so until i meet my goals and then will continue on as a member......
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've had such a fantastic time at legion Newark. I am just finishing my 6 week challenge. I haven't felt like I've had this much energy throughout the day for years, and I haven't felt this good about my appearance to boot. Week after week I saw improvements in my muscle tone and I was able to comfortably fit into my clothes again and all it took was a short 6 weeks to make it happen. I unfortunately failed my challenge. Yes, I "failed" my 5% body fat challenge but I consider what I gained to be far from a failure. My body is in much better shape than it was when I first started, and now I have the knowledge of what to eat, how much and how often along with fun and challenging exercises. I feel like all of that can be considered a success, right? The 5% challenge got me closer to my fitness goals in a short period of time which is just what I was looking for. The photos with the white sports bra were from the first day of the challenge and the rest were all from the last day. All that belly bloat is gone and you can start to see the definition of my muscles, which I'm very excited about. I knew they were still under that bloat somewhere! Thank you legion for helping me find it again šŖš½š. The coaches are wonderful and make sure you have a great time while working out. They are always willing to help you out and push you (positively) through every exercise. It's a fantastic environment with fun and kind people that are there to support you from your first day to your last. I finally feel motivated to go to the gym day after day and I can't wait to go back! So come join the legion fit fam! I guarantee you won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately the staff just isnāt that well trained on customer service or phone etiquette it seems. It started with the consultation. When I arrived , no one was there. I then receive a text message as Iām standing at the locked door (after the appointment at this point) stating one of the staff members had an emergency (no big deal) my phone sends unsaved numbers straight to voicemail so I see a notification for 3 missed calls and no voicemail. I ignore it of course. Then I get a text stating theyāre trying to call me. When I called the number back I was sent to their voicemail which ironically states that I should leave a message as to why Iām calling. It was a lot of phone tag at that point. Once I was finally able to get a hold of someone, we set up an appointment to train. I then received two more calls from them that I was unable to answer at the time but again⦠no voicemail. When I called back. I was sent to there voicemail, so I just left it alone. I was not feeling good the morning of training. I reached out to them to let them know I wouldnāt make it in and I havenāt...
