Hingeley Road Quilting — Local services in Brookston

TERRIBLE, terrible, customer service! Ordered fabric panels and yardage from their website where it stated that it was available to ship out at the end of March. I was super excited because I wanted this particular fabric and the panel really badly. Turns out, they don't even have it in the shop, nor are they expecting it for weeks. That would be understandable during these times IF, when I purchased them, I was told that they were going to be late due to delays or something similar. But no, I was lied to and then given no solution, nor an apology. Melissa Polo actually sent me an email nonchalantly trying to tell me that the website states the "styles" (Not fabric) I ordered will not be available until mid April and they would be shipped out when they are received. Ahh no, that's NOT what the website says. So I sent her the screenshots of the fabric that show the notice that they are available as of the end of March (still on the site today). ?? Just tell the truth from the beginning, update your site and be transparent. I have a project planned and would have ordered from another store or website had I known this. So to me, it's deceitful. MSQC is MUCH cheaper, and their customer service is amazing. But I thought I'd give a smaller shop a try. I'm not sure where you learned your Customer Service skills Melissa Polo, but lying, misleading customers and dismissing them like they are nothing is wrong. Also, not apologizing and not reaching out to work with a new customer is bad business. I don't know who she is but do NOT waste you time or money with this...

The quilt shop itself is great. Nice selection of fabric. 2 staff members in shop and neither wearing masks. When several other customers came in, the staff member at cutting table finally put on a face shield. The young gal at checkout I had to ask her to put one on before I would approach. Her redponse was that she just came out from back room, which was not the truth as I had watched her on and off entire time I was in there. I will not return to this business until face mask...

Super cute quilt shop. Very large variety of material. Also a large selection of precuts also. They have so many quilts! It was very cold in the storm. But the issue I had is there isn’t any public restrooms, which that isn’t a deal breaker, but the staff weren’t rude, but they also weren’t friendly either. I would go back and I hope it was just an off day, but you walk into a quilt shop and get excited, and sadly, the staff didn’t bring that joy for me today. I would recommend this...
