Bustout Colorado offers a unique team building exercise that should be beneficial to all types of businesses and organizations- large or small. Participants are challenged to utilize their wits, leadership and teamwork to solve a complex problem and bust out of their situation. Bustout Colorado sets itself apart from other escape rooms by coming to your location. The tractor trailers arrival at our business actually created a buzz. We walked out of our office and the next moment found ourselves "imprisoned" in a replica 1960's era jail. The facility and props are first rate and well thought out. The puzzle requires that all team members work together and communicate clearly. Russ Jenson did an excellent job of monitoring, evaluating progress then training after the main event. He facilitated a unique conversation among our staff. It was interesting for team members to discuss in detail how their communication/or lack of communication affected the entire office. Bustout Colorado exceeded all expectations. My initial impression was that it would be entertaining for our team. However, the overall product was equally productive, entertaining and fun. The project drew our group close together, forcing us to improve our problem solving skills and challenge us to better communicate in order to solve a common objective. Throughout the experience, I could only think that these are all current skills sets that we seek to improve each and every day in our work environment. While we didn't complete the task in time, we had a great time. My team left with a better understanding of their dependencies on one another, better understanding of one anothers strengths, a stronger bond within the group and most importantly, a vision of what success looks like when all the pieces work together.

Additionally, the professional coaching at the end of the session heightened our awareness of which skills we still need to work on moving forward and it left us with some tools to help improve them. Let me start with this. Many of our team members were very skeptical when I announced what we would be doing. At the end of the event everyone was saying how much they LOVED IT! We have a small team and we are at a remote location. The communication in scheduling and making all the arrangements went really smooth. We enjoyed the pre-event conversations, they really let us know what to expect from the Bustout Colorado team and was a great opportunity for us to let them know what we were expecting as well. All the participants had a wonderful time. We had one person that is very claustrophobic and the Bustout Colorado team did a magnificent job in explaining to them what was going to occur to see if they would try it out. They gave it a try and when it became too much for them, the Bustout Colorado Team immediately did what was necessary to remove them from the uncomfortable situation, but was able to provide an alternate option to keep them included at the same time.
