The actual shopping experience here was great, and the couch I bought is good quality and not overpriced (Edit: Less than a year later the couch is so worn and pilled that it's uncomfortable to sit on. I guess the warranty is only 90 days because they only expect the couch to last for 90 days. The $50 IKEA couch I had before I got this one for $600 lasted me for 5 years, so, truly, just go to IKEA), and arrived promptly. However, the delivery experience was extremely unpleasant, as was the manager. They didn't seem to have any control at all over their delivery guys. It was weirdly difficult to get them to come at a time I could be there, and then when we finally found a time, they came fully two and a half hours early. I had only just gotten back from work and hadn't had a chance to move any of my old furniture out of the way. They knocked on my door holding the couch and even though they were supposed to leave it at the door, they brought it inside. That should have been a courtesy, but since nothing had been moved out of the way, and since my apartment is quite small, it turned my living room into this impossible Tetris puzzle where I couldn't even walk from one end to the other, let alone move out the old furniture or unpack the couch. When I called them to ask them to help me, the manager totally stonewalled me, even trying to pin blame on me because I accepted the delivery when they brought it! I asked if they could just come back at the time of our original appointment and just take the couch back out on the doorstep, but even though the first person I spoke to said they could do that, the manager said they couldn't, offering these weird, completely impractical, multi-day "solutions" that were just giving me the royal runaround instead of treating me like a person. I wouldn't have felt so frustrated about it if I understood the reason--you know, "we have other deliveries today," or "those guys are needed elsewhere," but I was the last delivery of the day at 2:30 pm and even though they had literally nothing else to do, they couldn't be bothered to come back and help me out of the jam they put me in by not honoring our original appointment time. The manager said he would refund my delivery fee but so far hasn't done it. I will update the review if he follows through. Edit: After I posted this review, he followed up and agreed to refund the...
Read moreWe had hope of a good experience here and we found what we needed, ordered it and was patiently waiting on the delivery. We were told that it would be in the last part of September. We received an email from our salesman that one of the pieces of furniture we ordered had come in and he scheduled it to be delivered on Saturday. He also said in the email that Sunday was available. I replied to the email to let him know Sunday would be best. I also asked in the email if we could hold off getting the delivery until all the pieces were in. I never received a response to the email and a couple of days before the item was to be arriving in the store I called the store. I spoke to someone about the issue and informed them I'd rather wait to receive all items at once. She said that was no problem and told me when the other item was expected which was by the 15th of October. On the 15th I went to the store because I had not heard from anyone about the item coming in. I just told them I wanted a refund and the gentleman that assisted me with the refund informed me that the other furniture came in three days prior. I asked why no one had contacted me and he said the salesman was responsible for contacting but he had not been at work. I told them to just give me my money back because of their lack of communication. The only communication I got about my purchase which was over $1,500 is the one email from my salesman with no response to my reply and never a call to inform me that all of my furniture was in. Find some other concerned and customer service oriented company to purchase from because it's frustrating enough to wait over a month and eventually almost two months. Then you have to deal with the lack of professionalism. I work hard for my money and expect someone to honor that fact when I do...
Read moreI went to furniture row looking for a tv stand for my son's room and was greeted politely as soon as I walked in the door. The gentleman that approached me was polite and eager to help me in any way possible. I explained to him what I was looking for and he took me straight to the tv stands without hesitation. I explained to him I was on somewhat of a tight budget and he offered to look at there discounted items and I wound up buying a tv stand for my living room area. I'm a very talkative guy and we talked for quite awhile and Dylan the salesman didn't act like something else was more important like some salespeople do. We stood and had a fairly long conversation and he was a very down to earth guy who was more than happy to lend a ear and his help. I have come to learn as I get older that its a rare thing to find people that really just want to be good at what they do and Dylan is prime example of exactly what to do. If more people were as hard working and as focused on simply just helping the customer the buying process of virtually anything would be a way more pleasurable experience. This is a very long review but credit needs to be given where credit is do. Dylan did his part and was there to assist me and my son so I need to return the favor for by saying furniture row and this world as a whole need more people like Dylan. Very good job all the way around and I look forward to going back anytime I need something for my home. Thank...
