Amazing results! Benji is our 2 year old chow chow. He’s a stubborn and reactive dog who started getting away with things because he quickly learned that biting would make us back off. When he was a pup he took basic obedience classes which helped a lot but after getting neutered and turning two he started showing aggressive tendencies like food guarding and snapping when he didn’t want to go into kennel. We couldn’t even take him to stores anymore because he had gotten so reactive and struggled in putting his harness on/off. There was an incident where he bit both my hands and I ended up in the hospital, with the possibility of needing hand surgery. It got to the point where my wife and I no longer felt safe and had to decide to either get rid of him or find someone that could help us handle him. I had become frustrated and desperate because I had done my research before getting him and I didn’t know where I went wrong. I also didn’t want to get rid of him, he is family and he had helped me in my grieving process when my mom passed away. Luckily, I came across Matt on TikTok and he reassured us that he could help in managing the behavior. Benji did a whole month of board & train and when we reunited, we were so relieved, excited and surprised with the changes. I have no issues putting or taking off Benjis harness/collar/leash. We no longer struggle with the kennel and we can finally take him places to enjoy walks. We recently took him to his first trip in San Diego and he got to experience the dog beach! (Of course with a muzzle because he doesn’t like other dogs in his space, which is perfectly fine) We couldn’t be anymore thankful to Matt for treating Benji like his own during the board and train and for teaching us how to manage the behavior. It was definitely a great investment for us and recommend Matt to anyone who is in a similar situation.

We took our Great Dane Nova with Matt, after researching & looking at other trainers that offer board & train ultimately my wife & I decided on Matt. We left her for a 2 week Puppy Bootcamp Board & Train program, he kept us updated on her stay while she was there with pictures & videos on her progress & training. As well as once a week he would have us over to work with Nova with him , that way he could even show us as her owners, what he has been working on with her & how we can keep that going at home once she is done with her program. We have an XL breed and he knew exactly how to work with her & her needs, training for her was crucial due to her size. Nova came home with a place cot & a collar that he used during her stay, he even followed up after her stay to see how she was doing & told us about group classes that he also offers for his board & train graduates! The day we picked up Nova we even had another training session in our home so he could see how Nova does in her usual environment & training her there.Absolutely would recommend Matt if you have a pet you are looking into training for, the biggest green flag was that it isn't a giant facility that only sees dollar signs. He treated Nova like she was his own dog & that was so very important to us. Nova went on social outings with him to work on her confidence & her interactions with people & even other animals really desensitizing her. Within the first few days I was getting updates & videos of Nova following commands already! Now a month and half after she graduated, she is still doing amazing at home & on social outings !

If you are looking for a dog trainer, stop scrolling and hire Matt NOW!! My girlfriend has an awesome Pitbull, but he had huge anxiety issues and would bark incessantly and get super worked up any time he saw people, other dogs, someone rang the door bell, anything! I was super concerned that we wouldn't be able to integrate my two dogs when we decided to move in together. Matt originally came to do home lessons and his initial instructions were effective in getting Rigby to stay on his place and become more obedient to commands and less reactive, but fter a few sessions with Rigby, it became apparent he would need a little more attention and we sent Rigby to board and train with Matt. After a few weeks, it was like night and day! Rigby is soooo happy he is able to walk around the neighborhood now and is so much more calm and relaxed! We consistently reinforce the techniques Matt taught us to keep Rigby focused and thinking and not worried about what's going on around him. After a week of slowly integrating my two dogs they are now all able to be in the same room roaming free and we've had no altercations! We are still cautious, but I have no doubt they are all going to end up being best friends!
