Dark Nightmares Haunted Forest — Local services in Buckner

Me and my group will not be back to this place, it wasn't scary at all. I had such high hopes because people talk about it a lot but I'm unsure why, nothing made us jump not even once. We've been to just about every Haunted house within Kansas city and surrounding areas and this place is way over hyped and over priced. Not to mention the lady directing people in line was extremely rude to us and tried making us go with another couple when we were already a group of 4, even though we saw several other people come out in smaller groups. Everyone there is like a huge family! They are great! I don’t do scary stuff, but everyone else in my family does and they all LOVED IT! My sons both worked out there this year (hubby and oldest went last year and loved it so much that my oldest son ended up talking to the owner about working there for this Halloween season)! They took my boys under their wings and treated them like I would! I absolutely cannot say enough amazing things about this place! Even out mailman went out to be scared and talked about it for days every time he’d drop...

This haunted trail was nice and the people running it are fantastic! HOWEVER, the section of the haunt where a goat and firecrackers were involved did not settle well with me. The goat is clearly terrified and confused. Watching the goat try to get as far away from the firecrackers and hide in the corner with no way to escape is awful to see. Please stop using the goat in this part of the haunt. It's very unsettling to see. I've heard several other guests say the same thing. The haunt is just as good without the goat than...
