This organization provides so many services to the community. It houses the African American Heritage Museum, which I have provided a review of. The director of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, Mr. Quentin McClendon, opens the Community Center for senior citizen activities, provides transportation for the residents, has child and youth afterschool and mentoring programs, exercise programs, and so very much more. He has special events, such as Wellness Fairs, Thanksgiving Dinner for families, school supplies for the youth, Family Fun Days, etc. Due to COVID-19, some services are scaled back, yet they still manage to feed the community to all who come on the food-giveaway days.
