Will never forget this great little store that had virtually everything a person could need while I was a resident of the Veterans Home of Wyoming back 2+ decades ago. A little pricey perhaps, though most smaller and more isolated community stores are the same. It takes volume purchases to be able to set lower prices, and the truth is that the larger volume of sales is simply not there.
Was always treated with respect and dignity whenever shopping there at D J's Thriftway. Most if not all of we veterans felt the same, thankful for the fine variety of goods we were needing at the time. Wait for sales while planning ahead saved us some bucks here but even excluding thiswe were pleased to have this business serving the community....

Buffalo..the town it is in...is a crossroads between Yellowstone Park and Mount Rushmore....the store carries fresh produce...are well stocked with items one would need for camping....a long trip in RV...or a few frsh items for a stay in a local motel...the staff is also very helpful... Not only with items i may need on a trip but also with information about the best route to take...either north south east or west and a rough gestimate on how long it might take to get there. Prices in the store are comparable to other home town grocers...the staff has been deliberate but congenial.... Definitely stop next time i am...
Β Β Β Read moreOld ladies at the register are just rude. They ask you if you have their rewards card and when you tell them no their attitude changes because they know you are not a local. Twice they threw our receipt down on the counter instead of handing it to us. Apparently they dont understand that if it wasnt for the tourists many of them wouldnt have a job. Way overpriced in their products too. 1 green 1 pound propane tank was over $11. I bought 4 for like $15 down the road...
