The club started out great, but once it joined ClubCorp it went downhill really fast!!! They just spent a ton of money on renovating the dining hall. All great if this place were just a restaurant, however they aren't considering themselves as a Golf Club as well.. The range rarely has grass. Mostly sand and dirt. The practice green and chipping areas are always sanded (trying to keep the new bermuda grass up). The chipping area has no noticeable fringe. It's all weeds and rough. The picker was down from months January to mid June. The workers walked the range with hard hats on picking balls by hand. This led to rarely having any balls at the range. Since then this has been rectified but the fact that it took them that long to get a new picker when the range cost is separate from the monthly dues is ridiculous!! Course does not manage slow play at all. I've placed a few complaints, and no help (taking over 5.5 hrs to complete 18 holes). Overall the place is not what I would consider at a O.N.E member rate of $453/month and another $23/Mo for range use, then still have to pay $8/Round to play a cost worth investment! There are other great courses around that one can play at a much cheaper rate and better condition. They are trying to be more of a corporate level club, therefore they neglect the course and practice facility and focus on dining hall and events at the Club. Very sad to have seen this club fall so far in a short time. The best thing I can say for this Club membership is that the Nike 360 fitting at the Bentwater club was great and JT is the man. Also swing coach Jeff Kenako is a great coach and overall good...
Read moreI was here for my grandmother's wedding and it wasn't up to the standards it deserved. Majority of the wedding was ran by young and inexperienced personnel. The wedding planner, Jennifer was 85% of the time on top of things. But not when it came to the cake and especially the cutting of the cake. Whoever cut the cake was inexperienced and unknowledgeable of how to cut the cake. That made the appearance of the cake on the plate sloppy and unpresentable. As a guest of the wedding, I was embarrassed because of the cake and the way it was presented. We were served an excellent menu, but who in their right minds serve fresh hand made rolls with no butter?
My grandmother's party was a hit, but I know that Hamilton Golf Club won't be getting our business again or even a recommendation. I was so upset at the fact that the cake suffered due to improper refrigeration provided to preserve the custard filling within. Therefore, the cake looked like the leaning...
Read moreSuch a beautiful course, my goodness. I've played loads of courses locally in Perth, Western Australia, and they can't compete with the beauty and the maintenance of this course. One downside is that if you are a left-handed golfer and want to hire clubs, then you are out of luck. I visited this course with my girlfriends family, and since I'm a lefty, I wanted to hire clubs, but they only have right-handed. So I had to hire clubs from a sports store close by. Was a gamble, of course, but you would think that they would accommodate for all players. However, in saying that, they still get a strong 5-star review , and if you are visiting the region book a round, you won't be disappointed! I'll return again with my own clubs from the land down...
