This is no longer R Car Repair. It's Anderson Family Auto and Lawnmowing and Somethin' else ... I don't know, the name is way too long. However, I had a similar experience to Danielle. This place charged $107 an hour, and they did nothing right. I mean, nothing at all. It all had to be redone by actual skilled mechanics, who charged only $95 an hour. So, here, you get unfathomably bad work, for an inconceivably high price. Side note, they claimed to have changed all four tire pressures sensors inside the tires of one of our vehicles. The new mechanic checked, and was fairly certain they were not new. Can't confirm this, but a professional mechanic could not believe they were new. So, there's that. The owner Shawn also regularly has a pistol flappin' around his belt. No problem with that. It's legal. But, on a professional level serving clients, it's ... Again. It's just a bad look. Where do I start. This repair cost me 5800 bucks to change out cam shaft and lifters….only to have to bring it to someone else to have it repaired again. He Quoted me 16 to 24 hours to do the repair and it took over 3 weeks with all sorts of issues. Like putting the head gaskets on the wrong side, they had to pull it apart again, installed a pushrod incorrectly, broke the vibration dampener pulling it off, then the engine wouldn’t start, had the timing off so that had to come apart again. When I picked up the truck the interior was filthy, never put anything on the seats to protect from oily clothes. Brought the truck home and it ended up having a severe engine oil leak, Called and left a message and they never called me back. I brought the truck to someone else and they found the crankshaft seal was coming out due to not being installed correctly, and it had a oil cooler line that was pierced causing a coolant leak, and now I have an exhaust manifold leak that I have to pay to have repaired.
