Bird Haus Farms — Local services in Bulverde

I did not want to leave! Ever! There are plenty of beautiful places to stay in the hill country but this place, I feel, is extra special. The owners are so attentive, available, and accommodating. You will not meet a kinder family. You can tell they have put their heart and soul into creating this expansive oasis. The sprawling acreage alone is stunning with beautiful views. This, coupled with new attractions such as a relaxing natural swimming pool and container pool, really make it an over the top experience.

There are cows and chickens ( I love hearing the faint sound of a rooster crowing in the morning if we were outside) and the friendliest little cats roaming the property. My kids got very attached to the cats and were sad to leave them.

The Roost Haus is phenomenal! We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and watching the sunset. Truly spectacular views. Very clean and cozy.

One of my favorite places to go on the property is the bench swing that hangs from a tree shading the swimming hole. I could spend all day in the cool breeze while the kids played.

It is also really neat to see some new projects they are working on near the field of dreams/container pool. It just keeps getting better and better!

A really special experience indeed! Hope to come back every summer to make lasting memories with our family.

It's a great place to escape the city. Sitting outside was relaxing. However,  I feel it is definitely overpriced.  The description said the swimming hole was chlorinated through September, which was not accurate. It was dark green, and I wasn't notified that it wasn't clean until a day before, which was too late to cancel for a refund.  The swimming hole was one of the main things that attracted me but fell short of expectations and advertising.   The  "Field of Dreams"  had a lot of junk, and the swimming tank by it was empty and dirty. The hot tub was the 2nd most appealing feature for me. However, the water was lukewarm and did not get hot at all. Additionally, only half of the jets worked. The bed was comfortable, and the A/C was nice and cold. The house rules require that you load and start the dishwasher, and you take the trash out, which I feel is a little ridiculous considering you pay a cleaning fee. I might consider staying agin but only for a 1/3 of the charged rate. (THE...

Let me first say the house was very nice, but.... even though their website says the have pools, we used the pool for 4 hours, it wasn't clean, all the cleaning and maintenance equipment was either in it or around it, it had no steps, as it is a pool made out of a metal shipping container. The entire time we in the pool, they were doing construction right across the driveway, welding, banging, hammering, but we never complained. You can imagine how shocked we were when the owner called and said that she was going to charge $80 to clean the pool, mind you we left it cleaner than we found it. this is a total scam and when I called her, she talked n circles and went on to say that she was charging us for an RV spot and the pool came with it. She couldn't explain why we were paying $400 a night for the house so an RV spot is ridiculous.
