Western Sky — Local services in Bulverde

My husband and I were married here July 23rd 2023. The venue was absolutely perfect. The staffing- not so much at all.

We had PERFECT communication with Becca up until 3 weeks before we got married. Then it went radio silence. We had some last minute questions that went unanswered, and unresolved.

We paid an additional $450 for the venue staff to serve food and bus plates throughout dinner, not one person bussed my guests plates or drinks. I was throwing away my bridal party’s plates. As the bride. My guests were throwing away their own plates. Why did we pay for staffing to do nothing more than put food on a plate.

Becca said she was going to follow through with our caterer, because their contract had changed- for some reason the venue was not aware. And we had no additional information leading up to wedding day. We could not get ahold of Becca, or ANYONE at the venue for 3 weeks prior to wedding day.

Bartenders weren’t happy or very friendly, I specifically remember the long dark haired bartender asking me (the bride) “what do you want?”

Our private last dance, Was not very private. As the staffing was still chilling at the bar until about midway through the dance.

Over all, our wedding day could have been 100% perfect had the staff acted like they cared. Even a little bit.

Western Sky was the perfect venue for our wedding this past March. The grounds and venue are beautiful, very spacious, and very well kept. There are so many places to take stunning photos! They provide multiple options for the ceremony location. We chose the Windmill Chapel which was perfect for our intimate ceremony. The reception space and parking area easily accommodated our larger 250 guest count with room for a buffet line and a large dance floor. I loved having the separate getting ready rooms with their own bathrooms for the bride and groom. The bar area is large and the bar service through Western Sky was great, we had no issues! While you get to escape into the Hill Country for the day, there are quite a few hotels that are a short drive away once the party is over. We worked with Becca who was fantastic!! Becca made the entire process from booking to planning to day of so easy for us! She was super responsive, accommodating, and so sweet! Take advantage of their After Hours and Open House days if you haven’t checked them out yet! Overall, so easy to work with and truly made the day perfect. I highly recommend...

We toured many wedding venues after we got engaged, but none of them felt quite right. As soon as we toured Western Sky and spoke with Becca, we knew this was the place we wanted to have our June 2025 wedding reception. Everything about it was perfect, and we loved that it's a family owned venue. I cannot say enough great things about Becca. She was so incredibly helpful from our first meeting up until our wedding day. She answered every question (big or small), and she was so prompt, kind, helpful, and professional. Our wedding reception at Western Sky was an absolute DREAM, and there genuinely isn't a single thing that we would change. Our family and friends were blown away by the venue just like we were when we first saw it. I cannot thank the Western Sky staff enough for everything they did to make sure we had the most magical and perfect day.
