The aisles were partially blocked with stock carts, employees tend to be ridiculously rude. The cashier that rang my fiance and I up couldn't seem to grasp that his items were separate from my items and kept wanting to grab his and add them to mine. I was shopping for my mother as she's disabled and can't get out much. I tried to put my number in to use digital coupons and she cleared it out half way through watching me type in my number and counting out the CASH for the payment. Hit the card button knowing fully I was paying with cash. I apologized to her for causing her a apparent inconvenience, her response was "oh it's ok." Then started on my fiance's transaction. He had a bag of chips and a 6 pack of soda, she decided to put his sodas ON TOP of his chips. Not sure what her issue with us was, but it was uncalled for as my fiance and I work retail as well and always try our best to be as nice and upfront with others as possible. She was extremely nice to the lady in front of us and the only thing that I could notice that was different and I hate to even remotely point this out but it's the only thing that I could think would be her issue, is that her and the other lady were both older African Americans and my fiance and I are both younger Caucasians. I sincerely hope that, that is not the case but in today's ways it is unfortunately a high probability. It should also be noted that the large Dollar General sign that marks the parking lot has been out for a good while now, well over a month, which makes it incredibly easy to miss once the sun goes down. General manager made a visit before and nothing changed even remotely. Still walk in with no one at or near the registers time after time, can't tell you how many people I've seen walk out with carts of merchandise. I'm really not usually one to complain but it's time...
Read moreIt's always "junkie looking" and they have the isles so full of stock laying on the floor that you can't even get to some items!! There are two other Dollar General stores in neighboring towns just 4 or 5 miles away, in Sims, NC and Middlesex, NC, and they always have their stores clean with nothing blocking the isles! When I asked one of the managers of the Bailey store why couldn't they keep their store clean like the ones in Middlesex and Sims she said they don't have enough help there. That was the LAST DAY I ever went to the Dollar General in my home town, Bailey, NC!! I'm not the only one either! I know of one elderly woman who fell in there because of the isles being so cluttered up so don't be surprised if you have a law suit against your Bailey store!! This has been going on for a while so it's not something that has just became a problem, it's been a problem for a while now! What do you plan on doing, if anything, about this...
Read moreVery good deals on certain items, but name brands and certain foods are way too overpriced. Employees and normally mediocre and need more training as usual. Also more time needs to be set aside by company for employees to lay stock out, I have been in the store more times than not, with boxes on every corner making it nearly impossible to move from aisle to aisle without trouble. Overall I give this location a 3, Dollar General's business in itself I...
