When my 10-year-old said she wanted a "murder mystery" birthday party I had no idea what she was talking about. After much searching online I found Judy at Mystery & Mayhem. I had a great introductory call where she explained how everything would work and sent along written instructions. My daughter got to assign each party goer a role. When they showed up, I was very pleasantly surprised at how into the roles they all were. Judy and her assistant showed up before the guests and set everything up. There were lots of props and details to make it seem like a real get together to solve the crime. I was worried about how they could pull everything off, but once the party started, everything went seamlessly. The kids had a great time with lots of excited screams and gasps as various clues were revealed. A great time was had by all. Judy arranged a mystery birthday for our 7-year old daughter. Our daughter loves mysteries and wants to be a detective when she grows up. So when she asked for a "mystery" themed birthday, I was fortunate to have found Judy. The girls in attendance, as well as our 9-year old son, were absolutely enthralled and captivated the entire time. Judy's story-telling skills and attention to detail in the days leading up to the big day turned everyone into a believer. Our daughter said this was "the best birthday she has ever had" and her friends all wrote in her birthday book at school about what an amazing time they had. We recently hosted a Mystery and Mayhem treasure hunt for my son's eighth birthday and it was the most amazing experience! Judy and her assistant Erica were absolutely wonderful. The treasure hunt included many delightful, well- thought- out details. The kids were all incredibly engaged and enthusiastic and my son was totally captivated by the story. He is still talking about his pirate ancestor three weeks later. I was also very impressed by the fact that Judy and Erica were able to keep things well managed and under control with 13 rambunctious children running around a relatively small apartment.
