Always a great golfing experience! Avalon has 3 beautiful 9-hole courses, which combined make for a great day on the links. I have been golfing here for over 25 years, and everything, from the staff, the layout, the views, the wildlife, to the conditioning is tops in the region! Greens are hand-mowed most of the year, in perfect shape, fairly fast, and the greenskeepers make sure that the courses are in excellent shape (with no frost/leaves on fairways/everything mowed) before they will open that particular 9. They have an all-you-can-play rate as well, which is well worth it in the summer if you start early morning, as I have gotten in 72 holes in one day! The restaurant is never disappointing, but has limited food selections when the course is slow in the winter at times. The north nine is flat, with a great combination of water, bunkering, and dogleg holes. The west nine has slightly narrower fairways with water only on one hole, but good undulation and bunkers greenside on all holes. The south nine is the most scenic, with beautiful views of the Skagit river valley to the South, and the Cascades to the East. It seems to play a little shorter, but has the most elevation change, and some tricky areas around the greens. I also played in a tournament here a few years back, and the Avalon staff did one of the best hosting jobs I have seen in all my years. The tournament went off without a hitch. I highly recommend Avalon for any golfer, either travelling through, or local!

Avalon Golf Links is a golf course in Burlington made up of 3 separate 9 hole courses. You can play a combination of them totalling 18 or even 27, and they even used to have an all you can play option but I didn't see that when we got there last time. It's pretty easy to get to, only right off the main road about a minute. They have a big parking lot but it's setup kind of weird with a bunch of one ways and slanted spots so it can be tough to get around. Inside, they have a clubhouse with a small store with your basic necessities as well as a little restaurant area with a bar. The pro shop employees are nice and chatty, and the bar servers are funny to chat with. They have a driving range with about a dozen turf pads. Prices aren't too bad for range balls, and prices for the course play plus a cart are a bit high but they take good care of the course. Speaking of, the courses themselves are good. Well maintained greens, fairways in good condition, rough not too bad, and tee boxes were nice and flat. A lot of narrow holes here, but the greens are relatively flat and big. A few sand traps, which at the time were a bit hard, but overall still fine. Beverage cart service is on certain days (check their site for details) and stocked full of things to get. Overall, Avalon is a fun course and although a bit pricey, still worth playing. Book a tee time up to a week before hand since they tend to be fully booked a few days out.

Course was in pretty good condition today (9-7-25) everything was well maintained, clean, free of debris between Fairways, trees and shrubs were well pruned and the grass was all cut proper- tee boxes were great, the greens were rollin pretty quick and held an approach shot well- bunkers even played decent (yes I found a few of those too) as reviewed by an amateur golfer- shot an 83 from the greens tee's on the west and south 9's

I was really upset because I went to go buy a bucket of Range Balls with a buddy of mine and was expecting another to show up as well. But I was as turned away and was told that the driving range was closed. Mind it was 5:50 pm and it shows on the website that that range is open until 6. From my experience playing 100’s of course never have I once in the summer time have been denied to pay for a bucket of range balls at such an early time. The staff member that was running the pro shop said that they have to hand pick the range is the reason as to which I had a hard time believing. Mind you 40 minute later there was a staff member out on the range with golf cart picker picking up balls on the range and not by hand.

Course looked good but I was there to have a business related outing with some buddies that turned to out to be a huge disappointment for all of us.

I can’t believe that one of the few Golf courses in the area would turn away business. I will happily drive out to swinomosh GC or Bellingham...
