Burton Wetlands Nature Preserve — Local services in Burton Township

Was their earlier this week. Very very nice park. Very quiet. If you want peace and silence and just listen to Nature, this park is for you. I used to go to the park when I was a kid when my grandparents used to bring me here.

I give this place a 5 because I am a birder and it's a great place to bird. Very quiet and underused park. That said, there aren't any amenities so for families there are better choices. It can be buggy after late May or so. Check out the beautiful glacial kettle lake (Lake Kelso) and in late summer and Fall look for butterflies in the fields. My favorite park ever. There's hardly anyone there most of the time, which is very appealing to me anyways, and the paths are beautiful.
