Dollar General — Local services in Bushkill Township

Just moved to the area and just visited this location with my family for a garden rake and the man at the register training another employee was very strange and nasty. There was a bunch of items on the counter so we werent sure if they were ready for us and the man says "uh are you getting something or" and i politely said "just this" motioning to the rake my boyfriend was holding and he says in a very condescending and strange tone "well maybe if you give it to us then i could scan the barcode and you could get it" and my boyfriend, very taken back said "you didnt ask for it.." And the man started being borderline aggressive and arguing with my boyfriend, being so taken back on our way out my boyfriend told him to stop being a d word, and he told us not to come back. It was a very strange experience and made me very uncomfortable. Definitely miss our old Saylorsburg Dollar General where the employees were not only friendly but personal. We are very friendly and usually make very good relationships with employees at places we frequent. The store pictured is west of Wind Gap, PA. Love the automatic doors. I hadn't seen that before. This store is neat and organized making it a pleasant shopping experience. My local Dollar General (Walnutport) recently had a remodel. I used to be in there 4 or 5 times a week. Great prices on Dairy. Sadly this remodel has made the aisles nearly impossible to navigate with a shopping cart. When the delivery truck comes there is no way to get down most rows and it takes the stockers more than twice the time to do their job because of lack of mobility. I now only go when I need something only they have. Whoever designed the remodel should be forced to shop in one of these cramped stores! If you find an old style store, by all means go in. I love this place.

It's always clean. It has such a huge variety and at affordable prices. Speciality items like Digorno Pizza are maybe a little more expensive than a grocery store but that should be expected. You can't beat the prices for the convenience!
