Only good part of this business are the employees and the donuts. Everything else is either marked up in price by the greedy owner, or outdated. The meat section in this store along with the village market in carson city are disgusting, if you want rotten/ couple week old meat… be my guest to buy from this place. Your stomach with fight with you all day if you consume the meats. I go to this store at least 3-4 times a week and the meat department never changes. They might slap a new sticker on the package but it is still the same horrible quality. (most of the meat products in this store including the ground beef, ground sausage, and other ground up meats are not what they seem. I have been told by multiple employees that the (specialty ) meats are a mess of random meat mixed into another. It’s just sad to see how the owner is alright with pushing these unhealthy products at such an outrageous price. If you want quality at a good price, you’re better off going to a Walmart or even...
Read moreJust left the Sheridan Village Market for possibly the last time! My husband went in for a jar of miracle whip and it cost $9.29 for a 32 Oz jar. That is beyond ridiculous. Even the checkout person said so. Wasn't marked well ( learning from Meijer) so he paid, had I'd been there I'd said you keep it. I looked around and that's about. $3.50 to $ 4 more than most other places. I like to shop local when possible, but this kind of thing is what stops me.
The response below from the owner is not a true fact. I spoke with someone else from the store and was informed that my husband must have purchased the light Miracle whip and that is $9.29 a jar. First time I've ever been charged more for a different variety. Was also told they are a little store so they have to...
Read moreIf you're trying to save some money in this economy, this place is not the place.
For it being a small-town grocery, they love to think their customers can handle 16 dollar peanut butter jars. Each time I go in, I see more and more layered-over price tags as they constantly raise their prices by either 25%-50% every day, it seems.
Many people are upset by their high prices and the lack of choices. I'd rather spend the extra mile(s) to go to Leppinks for lower more reasonable prices or walmart if I want those kinds of prices, but with more options. Even Sheridan's locals would rather go elsewhere if they aren't looking for short distance...
