When you are buying meat in 1-5 lbs. quantities - you are safe and they do have the best ham loafs (I am told - I don't eat the stuff). If you buy in large quantities, be careful if you do not SEE the meat. This is what happened to us - we bought 25-30 lbs. of burger (the hubby likes to cook all kinds of things and freeze them for meals later). When I came home from work, he showed me the bottle filled with grease and liquid residue - disgusting. I presume to have a little of this come from the meat, but this much? No, what they did was most likely add blood and water to add weight. Good luck. I won't go back. I'll go to Farm Market - they have more of a variety anyway. Oh and I did write a letter to Broses, never to be contacted with an explanation or an apology. I should mention that I usually spent about $200 a month...
