The company I work for has them bring a steel toed shoes vendor to our facility. I ordered a pair that they did not have in stock in the color I wanted. Two weeks later I get a pair of shoes delivered to work that are the wrong color with a note saying the color I want won't be in until December. I call them and they say they may have gotten one in that was the color I wanted at their store. So I go there after work and they in fact do not have the ones I want in stock and they tell me that they are discontinued. I asked them why their vendor told me he would be able to order them in the first place then, and the response I got was that they don't deal directly with that vendor. The other salesman then snarkingly said "you could just wait until December." I said I would, but asked for the part number for the shoes I wanted. They didn't have the part number but they'd call my work and figure out what was on my order form. So I leave and soon after get a call with the part number.
