Bretz RV and Marine, Specifically in Butte Montana gets a 5/5 rating for my 2025 Mercedes Tranquility purchase. The negotiating buying experience was fast, simple, fair and pleasing. Sam Thomsen, lead sales person on my transaction, was honest and forthright with integrity that is seldom seen. I was in contact with Sam (from out of state Washington), for two weeks prior to this purchase. He answered my calls immediately or returned them promptly. I flew into Bozeman airport and Sam picked me up with an immediate drive to the dealership to see the RV van. Brad, the store manager and finalizing authority on the deal, greeted me at the dealership door along with other staff....I felt special....Brad, like Sam, is equally polite, honest and leads his team by example. This leadership by example clearly emulates throughout this Butte dealership location. Bobby in maintenance did the Pre purchase inspection (PDI) and walk through systems use on the rig with me. Extremely knowledgable, he answered my questions with no rush or timeline pressure. The rig was new, cleaned and ready for my delivery looking fantastic. Taylor, in title and finance, is wonderfully friendly and EFFICIENT. Paperwork was ready to sign and she even offered a link to RV insurance company who we purchased insurance from....price was better than my insurance company. Finally, two sisters working behind the desk of accessories, escorted me through the dealership asking what items I might need. No pressure, and since I have accumulated most required items from 35 years of owning RV's, I purchased most items new again.....in closing, I had a friendly and fun buying experience with Bretz RV in Butte Montana. This small dealership with a "family feel" is a refreshing change from normal dealership "shark" mentalities. I would fly from out of state again to purchase from this dealership in Butte. Thank you for a fair deal on a nice rig.......by the way, I researched pricing on RV's for 6 weeks along with attending Rv shows etc, and feel a fair deal was reached for all parties involved......I am happy. ...
Read moreUpdate: Bretz has attempted to get it right. Not sure who Joe is working with. Joe said he has been very nice and doing everything he can to fix this. We do have some answers and have our 5th wheel back to use. It was a pretty simple fix that could have been done at the appointment we had on Tuesday. At least l can get it ready for our trip now!
When we are done using it for the year, any issues will be looked at then.
We have had our 5th wheel back and forth for repair going for the past year and a half. At 1st it went to the manufacturer in Indiana. Then back to us after about 6 months. Still had issues. Took to Bretz in Butte, an employee swiped across the front of it with another trailer. It had to go to Bretz in Missoula, Butte isnt big enough to accommodate our 5th wheel for repair. Got it back, still issues. Finally used it, still issues. Made an appointment for Tuesday July 22. Checked today the 24th of July. It hasnt even been looked at. Now we will go get it as we have plans to use it. Why make an appointment if you are not going to even look at it? Its not easy just to drop work and leave to bring it to you to be told you havent looked at it. Why make an appointment???? Bretz did not own the dealership when we bought it from Copper City RV. Bretz has been involved since they purchased the dealership in Butte. Not happy at all. This 5th wheel has had more problems than I ever had with any trailer. From the time you walk in the door to the time you walk out the door the customer service is outstanding. The variety for a small town is excellent. The financial department works with your bank fast and assures all the paperwork is done correctly. Even with the purchase of accessories that are being added on by the parts department and service department. They made sure I had everything done fast and were running well before I picked up my new purchase, the communication was strong and constant to make sure that I was satisfied before I drove off with my new RV.
