The Prom Shop — Local services in Byron

The Prom Shop has a great selection of dresses and terrible service My daughter ordered a dress at their recommendation. When we ordered it, we indicated that we were not sure we wanted the dress. We were told we could use the credit from the dress on any other dress in the store. When the dress came in we drove two hours to the Prom Shop on a Friday afternoon, to avoid the rush, at their recommendation. We were welcomed to the store and the dress she ordered was brought to her. This is when things fell apart. My daughter was brought to a quick change room that was very small. No one came to help us during her fitting. In fact, when I asked for help with the hook and eye, the sale person told me that the zipper was good enough. With a dress over $550, I guess I expected support in fitting and some personal attention. It is sad that our experience at David's Bridal was better than the Prom Shop. The Prom Shop sales assistants ignored us for the most part. No one helped pull dressed that they thought would compliment my daughter's figure. The Prom Shop was a disappointment and did not live up to the hype. We choose to order through them because of the reviews and trusted they would have great service. We could have purchased the dress for less money on-line or from a local shop. We didn't. I wanted my daughter to have a great experience with some personal attention. This didn't happen. We did not feel helped and had to seek out help which is not acceptable. It is very unfortunate that stores like David's Bridal and Buckle provide more personalized service that the Prom Shop. At some point, I wondered if they only worked with girls who are a size 4 or smaller because I watched sales persons working with those girls. Those same sales people ignored my daughter and I all together. I wish they could have just asked us to wait until they had a sales person...

Thank you Jacob and the rest of the prom shop staff for making dress shopping such a great experience. I love that they have a runway and also that they have an exchange policy sometimes you don’t find the perfect dress right away but the prom shop gets new dresses in every week and we found an even better dress the next time we came in what a great store I can’t believe they let you do exchanges. No other store offer service like the prom shop they have the best selection I’ve ever seen I’ve shopped in three different states they’re by far the best in every aspect. It’s also great in Minnesota how there’s no sales tax on clothing compared to when I shopped in Florida. Every time we came in the store they greeted us like we were family and remembered us from the last time we were in the store. I can’t wait for my daughter to wear her perfect dress to her senior prom I’m so happy we found the perfect dress today. Thank you again prom shop for two amazing years of prom dress shopping I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. We thought it would be hard to top last year‘s dress because it was perfect but this year the selection is even bigger and better than last year. Also the last thing I should mention is they have a magazine both you can pose in, give away free gift with every purchase which is great, they also have a bidet toilet and the bathroom is awesome!!! Everything in this store is perfect I wish my daughter could go to more proms and events just so we could shop here more often! Best store and service ever! I had an amazing experience at the prom shop! A super friendly team of people working around the store! When we walked in (it was a busy busy day) we were greeted with a smile and got a run down of the way it all works, since so many people love to shop at the prom shop we were given a discount code to eat next door and got a text telling us when to head back! As soon as we got back into store it was such a positive atmosphere! I had Heather as an associate & she did an amazing job, and made my family and me all laugh and have a good time! They were very accommodating as well! I got the chance to enter a give away and won a dyson air wrap from them! So many amazing opportunities & such a fun place to shop! The dress I had last year was one I did not think I would be able to top, but they helped me find a dress that made me feel pretty and comfortable!
