There’s so much I could say, but I’ll just say poor customer service, and I had nearly the same experience as the other 1 star review.
2024 EDIT: Several years later, I’m still stewing over my experience with Devon sound and came back just now to see that he actually responded to my review. Did a really good job trying to save face and make me look like grumpy customer. The facts of why I became a grumpy customer: I brought in an orange micro terror tube amp head and was told that it would be ready in two weeks. Called two weeks later to check on the status was told two more weeks. Honestly forgot about it because I was onto other things and using replacement amps for gigs. Another month. Was told it wasn’t ready and it should be ready in a couple more weeks. I check in another month later. Still not ready. Will be ready in a couple weeks. By now you get the pattern. A full year and a month after I had dropped it off, I demanded that it be fixed so that I could pick it up already. He fixed it 48 hours after that call and then called me saying it was ready for pick up and as I was driving to go pick it up I asked how much would it cost and he wanted to charge me $120. Mind you, brand new, this amp is $160. so I let him know that that does not make any sense especially given the fact that I’ve waited over a year for this fix. He said he would talk to his manager to try to come up with a discount (which I don’t understand who the manager is when he’s working out of his garage). He said the lowest he could go is $90. So I said screw this I could buy a brand new amp for $100, why am I spending $90 after a year of waiting? This is horrendous.
All this to say, I didn’t want to be rude with my review, but I felt like the service was very narcissistic and his response here doubles down on that. Because I didn’t go into all his sob stories about how somehow he was the victim and all this all I was asking was the service that when he finally got to it literally took two day. Morrow, in the span of that year of waiting, I, ME, only me, I was the one constantly having to check in. Not once did he call to give me any kind of update until I finally demanded it be done. Seems that some others have had great experiences with him, but this is probably the worst experience I’ve ever had as far as any kind of service goes hence why I came back to my review...
