The Tracy Golf and Country Club is an interesting item. Some of the engineering and landscape design shows a once very cool country club. There are a few tee boxes secluded by shrubs, a few nice staircases to elevated tees, and water hazards with nice looking brick surroundings. Then, there are areas of the fairways and tee boxes where a lack of maintenance is obvious. It appears that this club once was a very elite location, but for unknown reasons membership fell and maintenance suffered.
Overall, the greens were smooth and fast, the bunkers were raked and in good condition. However, the fairways and tee boxes could use some maintenance. The staff were polite and friendly. the chef/waitress was fantastic.
Staff mentioned that this time of year (Q1) they aerate and seed the course. However, looking at the numerous patches of dirt/dead grass, it would seem a little more landscape maintenance would do the trick.
The course sits on both sides of I580, so be careful not to snap hook a shot on a few holes as you may hit a car.
After our round, we went to the restaurant and ordered lunch and coffee. The meal was very tasty and reasonably priced. The cook/waitress was terrific.
Overall, the Tracy Golf and Country Club is worth a visit. It would be nice to give it a second round before summer to see if the fairways and tee...
Read moreGive this course a try! The front 9 will lead you to believe it's on the flat side.Tee to green that is , now the greens are sneaky sloped. Just when you feel this is sinking the hole , reality check hits you.The greens are a challenge with the gentle yet ball commanding lines. Overall wide open. Now you are hit with a few tight fairways so the long holes are not just grip it and rip it . At the end you will finish off last two holes with the dramatic elevation changes and sloped fairways . Don't at anytime take your eye off the ball. The ball will vanish on you with going into the neighboring properties. And the staff was very hospitable and the service is great! Enjoy and...
Read moreOnly golf here if you can find a discount on an app. Otherwise this course is severely overpriced, not sure who’s currently running the place but seems to be ran by young adults/teens. Snack shack closes early and is cash only. Putting greens are fine and FAST, the rest of the course has poor conditions. Wish my hometown course was overall better and more affordable (or at least practical for its conditions). Golf carts need an update, they’re fairly old and die often. And lastly, their parking lot needs help!
As of 5/9/24 $75 w/out cart weekend rate smh this ain’t a premium bay course. It’s a dried out “desert” course...
