Bates Grocery — Local services in Camdenton

The owner of this store Jill Bates has treated me like I'm a lier. I rented a movie here which we returned the next day but the girl that was working didn't check it back in now Jill is saying that we owe a thirty dollar late fee. We tried to explain this but no one would listen to us. So now we avoid going there. We used to shop there almost daily but now we drive to Thompsons to get things if we really need them. They also are cheaper on a lot of there stuff that we buy. I really wish that Jill would do something about this because we like to support local business. Until then we will continue to drive a little further out our way in order to not be harassed about something that was not our faul. Don't rent movies here unless you get a signed return receipt or you might just have to go through what I'm going through. Also I texted an employee this and all she could say was nobody's perfect. Great place to shop. Good reasonable down home southern hospitality. Good down home freindly customer services. And upstanding responsible well put together people. With a freindly smile but a firm strong professional no messing around type attitude on how the staff and owners upkeep and run a successful business. Horrible just down right awful customer service. I ordered a pizza a bread sticks ar 2:25 they said give us 30-45 mins okay so I leave my house at 3 and get here at 3:15 get up there and my order is not completed and was told of would be another 10+ mins that is awful. I'm sorry but I've worked in this kind of place and I never ever let a customer wait over an hour for one pizza and an order of bread sticks.
