I bought a used refrigerator from Willie 8/27/21. It is an hour round trip for me. When I got it home I had to remove the doors to get it into my location. After putting an hour and a half into disassembling and gutting the box, I decided to spruce it up a little. I wire brushed a quarter sized rusty spot on the back and suddenly I knew the the rust was not surface or minor. The cancer had eaten all the way through. To make it worse, that exact spot is where the wiring runs. I was looking a 4 multicolored wires. I called the shop after regular hours and left a message that there was a problem and to please call me back. The next morning, I did not receive a return call. I waited an hour after they opened and started calling them. I called 4 more times getting no answer and no call back. I was really wanting to get some guidance on how I could fix whatever was wrong, since I had so much time invested. Finally I stopped payment on the check. In the late afternoon Willie returned my call. He had no idea what could be done to make the box safe. I continued trying to save the box and the time I had invested in it. Later I called the shop an left a message that I had stopped payment. Suddenly messages were being returned. He was got loud and hostile and said he was going to the sheriff. He wanted the box back so he had evidence of how I had damaged it. Hateful is the word I would use to describe his attitude. No sympathy for my situation. Later I got help and I did figure out how to make the box usable. I removed the stop on the check, which actually had not been presented for payment yet. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because a purchase a few years ago had no issues. Just know that right beneath the surface is...
Read moreBought a washer/dryer for $250. Told him it didn't matter what they looked like so long as they worked. Came home, setup, dryer doesn't work. Washer makes terrible rattling noise, sounds like it will explode soon. Called to tell him dryer doesn't work, he says it must be my wall outlet. Obviously it's not my wall outlet, previous dryer worked no problem, and multimeter tested power at outlet. Take dryer apart and test thermal switches and thermostats, etc... Seems heating element has failed. No replacement. No help. Just takes my $250 and tells us to fix it ourselves. Was disappointed as other reviews seemed positive. Other reviews probably Willy lying about his own shop. 0/5 would not...
Read moreHad a pretty bad experience. This was about a year ago. Took the dryer in because the motor was failing. Sold one to my mom at a discount being that she left hers there. Got one that made a terrible noise and after maybe three uses the wheels on the drum disintegrated and the it lodged and the motor almost caught fire(idk how long it would've had really the dust it was coated in was black and smelled pretty burnt). Belt was also dry rot. And the fan/output were about clogged with lint. Probably should just get parts from here and stay clear of anything "reconditioned" or "still working...
