I have been a nurse for 26 years. I served my country as a military nurse (retired) worked in various specialty areas. I have earned several degrees to include two doctorates. I have always been extremely proud of what I do and I often work shifts that are hard to staff, because I am a selfless person, who puts the needs of others before my own needs. I work as a travel nurse, often called to help out in facilities that are short staffed due to COVID. My husband and our dogs are in Sedona because I am on a work assignment. I booked a spot at this rv park because I thought that this was a decent place to camp for the night and the owners seemed friendly enough. At FIRST. When I found out that my work assignment which was extended a day, I did not think twice about asking for reservations for another night. For my husband and dogs, because I work nights, therefore I would not be spending the night. I always ensure that my husband and dogs are comfortable, because traveling is not easy on them. So imagine my surprise when I was told that â because you work at night, you leave at night and we canât have that here.â First of all this does not make any sense. Considering the fact that we only stayed one night. My husband drove me to work and then returned to the campground and then picked me up in the morning when my shift was over. One round trip. But apparently this âwas disturbing to the other campers?â One round trip in the dark. To take me to work, so that I can care for sick members of the community. My working on a night shift is disturbingâŚSee I donât buy that poor, ignorant and not well-thought out excuse. My husband stated that he didnât make any noise and it was before 7 pm. Just barely dark when he returned. You see because people check in at night all the time at RV campgrounds. That is the nature of the beast. They even have a policy for people who check in after dark, requiring them to navigate their own way to their designated spot. Is this disturbing as well? There could be 3 or 4 late comers. I think the real reason for her (the owner) not wanting us there was because of racism. Because I spoke to another travel nurse who stayed there, (who worked nights by the way), and she said that she didnât have a problem. Long story short, we may have to end up staying at a rest stop. Well my husband will. I will be at work caring for patients. Surely the other campers would not âcomplainâ if they knew the circumstances. I could very well be caring for someone that they know. It is such a small community. But much like during the civil rights movement, there was often no room at the inn for my kind. We were often forced to sleep in our cars and pee in Dixie cups because we couldnât use the facilities. And I guess at Crazy RV Park Camp Verde there still isnât room or an RV space for a war veteran....
Read moreWe were lied too treated poorly we paid monthly and were told we could stay monthly then we were told we to leave a day earlier than what we paid for. I'm a disabled veteran my towing vehicle had brake failure on the front axle and we had to get brakes before we could be safe to tow our 40 ft RV. They shut off our electric before we returned from attempting to get our brakes fixed. It was the hottest part of the year our freezer full of food was ruined and we had no a/c the management demanded double the daily rate before the would turn the electric back on. We paid the outrageous rate even though we were already paid through till the next day. There was a crowd of ppl outside my RV as if they were all looking for something to entertain themselves with. We were screamed and cussed out by them and don't even know why. They threatened that we had to be out by the next day in the morning or they would charge us double rate again that day I have a hard time getting my trailer hooked up because the Jack broke so they came over and asked us if we needed any help then they proceeded to take our belongings and throw them just any old way in the back of our truck and trying to take some of our personal belongings and they did take some of them most horrible experience I ever went through in my life and don't know why they treat us that way I am a veteran with PTSD and oftentimes have bouts where I scream and holler and swear and that's all I can think of I've stayed at a lot of places throughout the country and this was the first one that I've ever been treated so poorly I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this place there's a reason why it has the name and I think I know...
Read moreThe main thing not mentioned on the Krazy K website is that the park is only about 10 feet from I-17. It sounds like semis are driving through the park 24/7. This is by far the noisiest RV park I have ever been in. The spaces are about usual size. There is a small pool (which was not open during our stay), a tiny exercise room and a laundry with only 2 washers and 2 dryers--there can be quite a long wait for machines. The showers are communal -- 2 showers with a shared changing room, however you can lock the half door which might keep it private or just plan on showering in the early, early morning.
The WiFi is terrible- extremely slow.
The managers were friendly. However, I met the owner -- not even remotely pleasant. They also do not give refunds - at all! No matter how many days in advance your notice of leaving is. I'm sure they adopted this policy because once someone books a space and finds out they will be listening to freeway noise so loud that it's pretty hard to enjoy being outside.
The only plus is that the fees are low. I will not be staying here again, unless I plan on going deaf in the...
