we had our fathers birthday here and they nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. it was advertised online for $250 for 4 hours in their big conference room. when we went to go book it, it ended up being almost DOUBLE because of all these extra charges they don’t tell you about.

they make you pay for a server if you want one or not ($150) our server was actually walking the hallway and not doing her job so i’ll be requesting a refund on that. we also ran out of paper towels in the restroom and had to find someone to restock that.

we only received 10% off our charge because we have a membership for their gym, we did not receive one for being a campbell resident or for working for the city. (most places will give you that discount)

we were very disappointed with the process of booking as well. we played phone tag with the office for about two weeks to book. they also didn’t have my fathers picture or name on the outside sign as we were told it would be up there.

if your looking for an affordable place to book, this is not for you. it’s a shame because the actually building and room itself...

I am a member there for their gym. I enjoy the gym. It’s a bit small with not as much variety of machines, but I enjoy it because it’s not as crowded and I have time to do what I want without waiting for machines.

I recently booked a party there, which that itself was such an hassle. I kept playing phone tag with them telling me “oh it’s available that day” to “oh no, we booked that day” to “i dont know who said that we have the day open”. This went on for about a month.

Online it says we could rent a room for $250. It ended up being just under $500 with all the hidden fees. Leading up to the party we kept getting calls asking us to use their heating elements, coolers, utensils, and more. All of which would’ve been, you guessed it, an extra cost.

Two of the fees were for a janitor and a kitchen worker. We understand the janitor, but the kitchen worker was supposed to serve our food. Rather she was standing in the hall staring at us. While we were cleaning up after the party, she took all of our trash cans and left. So what did I pay that fee for?

There are several conference centers that can be rented, Southwoods Medical Center, a gym, the Mahoning Public Library, indoor track and courts, golf simulators, and the Red Devil Bistro. This is a pretty great place for community and school events. Make sure to get food from the bistro, everything is delicious and the whole center is always very clean with tables that you can use down the main hall.
