Taste Like Home — Local services in Campbellsville

First off, everything we've bought has been delicious. We went for the first time last week. The girls were super sweet and friendly. We decided to go back yesterday 12/30 and had a completely different experience. It was a whole new group of people working and they were not as friendly. There was one girl specifically that seemed like we were disturbing her. She didn't seem happy at all. No smile, we got an evil looking smirk instead. After she put our meats and cheese on the counter and we were done, she said nothing and just looked at me. I said "thank you" and it seemed it took ever ounce of fiber for her to reply "you're welcome". We shopped around a bit and everybody just went in the back. I felt completely disregarded. We rang the bell for service and again was greeted by the same girl. As she walked out of the back we got the "death" stare. A look like we were completely disrupting her. Honestly, I felt like you can cut the tension with a knife. Was it us? I'm not sure, but she made us feel very uncomfortable. My wife & thought this was a restaurant. We decided to go there for lunch. It turned out to be a Mennonite store. They do serve sandwiches & soup. We had chicken noodle soup with big noodles. The medium size was larger than my wife & I could eat. We had the rest if them the next day. We bought a German chocolate cake that is, as they say, " to die for." It was the best I ever ate. Two days later, we got a carrot cake there. It was almost as good as the best I ever had. They have a regular chocolate cake & a pumpkin roll we might try if we can resist buying another German...

I had lunch here & it was so good!! You go in, grab a small white menu paper near the deli section & check the options for the sandwich you want made. Then put the paper back up there & they call your name when its made. They also offer different types of homemade bread, snacks, chips, deli meat & cheeses.
