Parents must buy a $10 wristband just to watch their kid play, so $20 for one kid and one parent. $40 for a gang of four. The apple trees are small, mostly barren, at least in the areas you're allowed to pick in, and the red plastic fences and yellow tape that designated areas you can't pick in mess up photos. UPDATES: (1) The corn sandbox is good (2) $3.50 for an Apple Cider Slushy isn't cheap, but it is delicious NOTE: the cider isn't produced a the farm and isn't 100% apples from the farm. CherryHawk is still my recommendation for an apple orchard in this area, but this place does have fun activities outside of apple picking.

The staff members we interacted with in the response to a problem we had made it clear that this place lacks the human decency and common sense that I’ve come to expect from family places. Their values were clear ($$$) and our experience was ruined.

Use your wallet to support the amazing businesses and events this fall and avoid this place.

Details: My understanding from a legal and common sense standpoint is that if a ride is advertised as appropriate for 3+ and doesn’t require parent accompaniment, it should be accessible to 3 year olds in terms of their ability to get on the ride and buckle safely (the wagon/train ride). If that isn’t possible, the parent should be able to assist them in getting on and buckling regardless of whether they bought a wristband ($15) or not. The ride is in the “pay” area right at the entrance. I completely understand that without a wristband, I can’t wander around that area and accompany my kid of the different activities. Totally valid. I was however upset that I couldn’t go and buckle her and promptly leave (all in full purview of the gatekeeper). I wanted to make sure she felt comfortable and safe. I knew she’s be totally fine on the ride and that was the only thing she wanted to do—if she wanted to walk around the whole area I would have purchased a wristband myself). Mostly the interaction that followed with the person in charge is what really hit me as inappropriate. I won’t go into details but essentially there was no understanding that from a legal and human decency standpoint you can’t mark a ride as 3+ without allowing 3 year olds the accommodations they need to access the ride. There was also some verbal admonition insinuating that “of course they assume that parents wouldn’t just send their 3 year olds by themselves without purchasing a wristband”. Overall just left feeling like their desire for $15 outweighed their human decency to let me put my kid on the...

It was just ok. There are so many of these places around central Ohio, much better ones, this one was a bit of a disappointment. At $10 a person, which doesn't include a pumpkin, you pretty much are just going from one "station" to the next. It's a big field, with the 4 or 5 things to do, set up. The pumpkins are just sitting all on the ground in one area, not in the field, and even though they actually are priced reasonably, it's just less of an experience then going to one where the hay ride takes you to the patch to pick a pumpkin. There is a hay ride that takes you around a big corn field, no hay involved, it's a big wagon with benches. Not much to select from in the shopping area, but the stuff they have is super cute. Very limited food and drink, and bottled water is $2. It's really geared towards the little kids who would probably really enjoy it. There's a barn with a few chickens, 2 pigs, and about 4 goats. The tire climb and big tube slide are also more for small kids. A little track for gocart type bikes. A couple of large jumping things, huge actually, and they have them separated for little kids and big kids/adults for safety. The "zip line" is a joke. Nothing more then one you might find in a park. My 9 year old had to bend his knees to keep from dragging on the ground. Everyone that works there is very nice though. Anyone over 8 or 9, it just probably wouldn't...

Good local orchard. I mainly just go there for apple picking. It may not have all the bells and whistles like Lindey's Fruit Farm out in Pataskala, but I'll tell you a few things that make it better!

  1. Not as big of a gift shop/market, so you aren't overstimulated by all the things you feel you're obligated to buy. This orchard is more down to earth.
  2. Parking!! They have a parking lot that's easy to get in and out of. You don't need to follow guys with flags to somewhere in the middle of a huge field, while praying that you can find your car by the end of an overstimulating experience.
  3. Traffic is not a nightmare to get there either. This orchard is reasonably removed from the rest of society, nor is it close to any giant businesses that would make driving there a waiting game while you avoid commercials on the radio.

Down to earth apple picking for a common sense...
