The staff members we interacted with in the response to a problem we had made it clear that this place lacks the human decency and common sense that I’ve come to expect from family places. Their values were clear ($$$) and our experience was ruined.

Details: My understanding from a legal and common sense standpoint is that if a ride is advertised as appropriate for 3+ and doesn’t require parent accompaniment, it should be accessible to 3 year olds in terms of their ability to get on the ride and buckle safely (the wagon/train ride). If that isn’t possible, the parent should be able to assist them in getting on and buckling regardless of whether they bought a wristband ($15) or not. The ride is in the “pay” area right at the entrance. I completely understand that without a wristband, I can’t wander around that area and accompany my kid of the different activities. Totally valid. I was however upset that I couldn’t go and buckle her and promptly leave (all in full purview of the gatekeeper). I wanted to make sure she felt comfortable and safe. I knew she’s be totally fine on the ride and that was the only thing she wanted to do—if she wanted to walk around the whole area I would have purchased a wristband myself). Mostly the interaction that followed with the person in charge is what really hit me as inappropriate. I won’t go into details but essentially there was no understanding that from a legal and human decency standpoint you can’t mark a ride as 3+ without allowing 3 year olds the accommodations they need to access the ride. There was also some verbal admonition insinuating that “of course they assume that parents wouldn’t just send their 3 year olds by themselves without purchasing a wristband”. Overall just left feeling like their desire for $15 outweighed their human decency to let me put my kid on the...
Read moreIt was just ok. There are so many of these places around central Ohio, much better ones, this one was a bit of a disappointment. At $10 a person, which doesn't include a pumpkin, you pretty much are just going from one "station" to the next. It's a big field, with the 4 or 5 things to do, set up. The pumpkins are just sitting all on the ground in one area, not in the field, and even though they actually are priced reasonably, it's just less of an experience then going to one where the hay ride takes you to the patch to pick a pumpkin. There is a hay ride that takes you around a big corn field, no hay involved, it's a big wagon with benches. Not much to select from in the shopping area, but the stuff they have is super cute. Very limited food and drink, and bottled water is $2. It's really geared towards the little kids who would probably really enjoy it. There's a barn with a few chickens, 2 pigs, and about 4 goats. The tire climb and big tube slide are also more for small kids. A little track for gocart type bikes. A couple of large jumping things, huge actually, and they have them separated for little kids and big kids/adults for safety. The "zip line" is a joke. Nothing more then one you might find in a park. My 9 year old had to bend his knees to keep from dragging on the ground. Everyone that works there is very nice though. Anyone over 8 or 9, it just probably wouldn't...

Down to earth apple picking for a common sense...
