I’m a truck driver for TMC and they turned me away on a Friday when I was trying to go home. First they claimed not to have a forklift driver to unload me. I spoke to the forklift driver a few minutes later after I witnessed him operating the lift. He didn’t want to unload me because it was after 12 noon by about 10 minutes. I made it there on time but it took me 10 minutes to find someone and figure out where to go. Truckers have a hard enough job and many of us have families that rely on us and miss us. Not only does this destroy my home time but I’m now stuck out here with no money or food because my debit card had to be shut down yesterday due to fraud. My new card is at home where I should be. I served our country for 8 years so I’ve had more than enough time away from home and family. I understand that they aren’t attacking me personally but trying to stick it to the company this way is only hurting the truck driver. I did all I could to get this load here like I was instructed to do. When you go to any store and purchase any item just remember that a hard working trucker helped make that possible. When you order anything online a hard working trucker is responsible for getting it to your area for the mail trucks to take.
