The nearest grocery store to my house and I’m usually very satisfied with my shopping experiences. The pharmacy on the other hand, I use as well. I’ve been getting the same prescriptions filled there for a couple years. More than half the time I try to refill my medication 3-5 days ahead of time. So I never run out. I have run out even with allowing the correct time. The pharmacy always gets extremely rude, saying “It was supposed to come on the truck, idk what truck, but it’s not filled so it’s not here.. MAYBE will come on the truck tomorrow or the next day. Or, I can print your script out and you can take it somewhere else.” The reason I come here is because it’s close to home, I grocery shop here, there isn’t a Walgreens anywhere near here? Why can’t they keep up on their ordering? I know one of my medications is let’s say - Name brand $$$$$. But, the pharmacy KNOWS I get it each month like clockwork. Why don’t they order it for that? Just 1 bottle? I’m sure I’m not the ONLY person who goes to that pharmacy on that specific medication. Disappointing. As well as the lack of knowledge. If a medication is a refill, you do not need to “force” me to talk to your pharmacist. - I’ve been on the meds for years!! ** take the time to actually look at what...
Read moreWhen I see a sale item I just expect the item to ring up at that price. Is that reasonable? Apparently not. If you're not paying attention you just might find without the loyalty card you'll be paying a higher price. Without the digital coupon you'll be paying a higher price. If your time is valuable to you and you don't want to be bothered with putzing around at their kiosk scanning your card and pushing buttons you don't get the sale price. It seems dishonest to me just be straight about the price and I'll pay it. Don't pretend something is on sale when I have to jump through a bunch of hoops, do tricks in the parking lot. Sing a song, do a dance, slap my neighbor or kick the dog to get that price. It's that feeling of dishonesty that prevents me from stopping in for the occasional item or two when I feel like I have to scrutinize every item as it's ringing up and make a stink at the register just to get the advertised price, cuz I will do that. I don't like doing business that way and I don't like shopping at the store because of it. I'm sure the cashier's hate it too. I make sure of it. You're not doing any favors...
Read moreFor a small town grocery store I think they are pretty good. The store is bright and clean, the people who work there are very competent and helpful, and most of their food is good quality, but some produce is regularly old and wrinkled. Zucchini and yellow squash are two items that I almost never find fresh and young. I can usually get good green peppers, but just a couple of days ago all the green peppers were old, and cucumbers is the same.
I'm not sure why they can't correct this by buying smaller amounts, putting it on-sale, or finally being willing to take a loss rather than sell sub-standard produce. I see berries go on-sale when they seem to be nearing their sell-by date, but I've never seen them do anything like this for the produce I...
