A nice gift shop with a great view and pleasant staff to get a few gifts reminding you of your visit. This is one of the many potential places to stop along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Blueridge parkway is a 469-mile road that travels through the Great smoky mountains. It was designed to connect Shenandoah National Park and Great Smoky Mountains National Park during President Roosevelt’s era in 1935. This particular stop is larger than most and hosts a hotel, gift shop, restaurant, and large parking lot. I stopped at this location because our Blue Ridge Parkway app recommended it as a good viewpoint. This particular shop is located inside the main structure right behind the observation deck. It has a large set of windows giving a great view of the observation deck and the valley. It is a cute shop located with lots of items to buy and a great view on both sides and access to the entryway for the restaurant and exit to the deck overlook area.
