Presnell's Produce & More — Local services in Canton

This is a great little locally owned produce stand that sells a LOT more than just produce. It's an entire small grocery store, with locally grown fruits and veg, meats, homemade pies, breads, and much more! The only reason I didn't give this more than 3 stars is because no one, and I mean NO ONE, in the store was wearing a mask. Being this is a super conservative area, this wasn't too surprising, but the store was also packed to the rafters with customers, and I felt like it wasn't a safe environment for that reason. I felt like I got some glares from some of the local people because I had on a mask. I also had to wait a VERY long time to pay for my items (I bought one of the pies, some peaches, and some cheese -- all delicious) while the lady behind the counter conversed with one of the customers for what seemed like forever. I drove 30 miles along I-40 to visit this place and I was not disappointed.

I called ahead to see if they had raw Sourwood honey and the young man that answered the phone was so sweet to go check for me.

Besides honey, I picked up their home-grown beef(definitely buying more), pork(good) and lamb(not tried yet but it looks wonderful). Many of their fresh produce was local grown and excellent. The asian pears were a delight, like a cross being a pear and an apple.

The short drive off the interstate is scenic and well worth the trip.

I can't think of anything I didn't fully enjoy that I purchased there. Going to make the trip in the early fall to enjoy it again.

If you want a treat the small apple rhubarb pies are sinfully delicious.

Not only do they sell produce, they actually have their own bakery and provide a wide selection of baked goods. They also sell meats, butter, cheeses, eggs, other refrigerated produce, coffee beans (or ground), canning supplies, spices, soup prep, mixes (like pancake mix), and much more. Many times they supply plants, soaps, jewelry, and other misc items. It really is a pne-stop shop and their produce is so much better than what I have to sort through at the big grocery store.
