Where to begin!!! The welcome center was really nice! You can purchase beverages for your journey.Staff was really pleasant and friendly. They give you a pamplet with all of the animals .There were five of us in our group we bought five extra bags of food they provided five bags our total was $104 and some change which was absolutely worth it. The staff insured the restrooms are clean before my young daughter went in and used the potty which was absolutely amazing to me.As soon as we were inside the gate we already started to see a plethora of animals! The paths were really nice to drive on for what ever vehicle you dive.tjere were no potholes or brush blocking any of the paths.there is a half way maker sign to let you know where your at.orange arrows in plain view to let you know where to go.there were alot of animals.our most favorite had to be the bison (huge) at the end he was like a big baby that would just stick his head inside the window and eat right off your hand. Also the camel at the end he was so friendly and so gentle while eating the food!!! When you finish your journey you can get out and take a photo. I'm truly excited to see what this place dose in the future ! Maybe a petting zoo!! I can say we had a three year old and an 18 year old with us two very hard ages to keep happy and entertained how ever the 2 hour ride was never dull and everyone enjoyed...
Read moreThe first time we came out here, we had a blast. It WAS well worth the money. Took us over 2 hours to get through. I was so impressed that 2 weeks after, I decided to take my dad... let's just say that I was beyond disappointed. I walked in to purchase the tickets, (at the same price that I Paid last time.) I was given the same 2 bags of feed and the lady even told me about the new walk through safari. We stared off through the entrance and I noticed that we were not seeing half the animals that we seen before. ( 50% of the animals we seen were the same every day deer that I see in my back yard) 30 to 35 mins into the drive, I notices we were approaching the exit. I said to my family, at least they have a walk through safari but that was disappointing as well. It was one pin with 4 animals of the same species. I went back to the office to ask what happened and what changed. She then informed me that they are under new ownership and they have shortened the drive a little. I told her they needed to inform people before hand because to charge the same price for less than half the attraction was ridiculous. I will not be going back to this one unless they bring some upgrade and a proven track record of it. Was VERY...
Read moreSuper fun place, well worth the trip from Dallas! Some things that we learned from our drive through the park today. Make sure you have two bags of animal food per person, one bag for the first half, and one for the second half (the half way point is clearly marked inside the park by a sign). Please be cognizant of the cars behind you, if you have 6 people in your car and plan to spend 15 minutes at every group of animals, please pull to the side and try and let others pass if possible. It was just my and I , we were behind 3 large SUV's that had at least 6 people in each one, towards the end it was inconvenient because we had to use the restroom and the caravan in front wanted to play with every group of animals for extended periods of time. We ran out of food too soon and basically became stranded.
This isn't a negative reflection on the establishment but just an ask that you don't get so caught up in the moment that you forget about the 9 cars behind you who may not be in the same boat as you or may need to use the restroom.
To the establishment, maybe consider a marked passing point for these kinds of situations.
Fun day...
