Walking down sports Boulevard with my dog is serene and calming. There are 2 problems. I have been A pet parent for rescue dogs for 25 years. I always carry a fanny back with plastic bags and used scott towels to pick up dog poop. Apparently people in cape Coral refuse to pick up poop which contains flea protection and heartguard plus the ecoli also adds to the algae problem. I have offered plastic bags to people that walk their dogs "OFF LEAD" to boot. I am consistently told it's none of my business. Around my one block radius there are 16 dogs. All pooping twice a day, if not more. That plus the garbage dump halfway down Sports Blvf behind the large bush in the middle on the right side there is a pile of garbage. People have dumped bagged and unbagged garbage. I called on 10/17/18to report it to Parks Dept. the new mgr was on vacation due back on Mon. The following week I saw a white parks dept truck drive back behind near the garbage dum, for 2 minutes. Nothing was done. Still there. I continue to take pictures. Your tax money is wasted. Garbage is hidden, but it is still revolting, and when it is really hot as it was a few months ago, it stinks. No one does anything about the garbage. Shame on the town, parks dept and the people of Cape Coral who consistently toss garbage all over the streets and also in a family park, bottles, cups, candy wrappers, banana peels, plastic bags, beer cans, and also lets not forget the dispicable humans that own a dog but are too lazy to pick up after them. Its is a shame how people view the earth as a giant garbage can. I hate to see how the inside of their homes are if they walk and drop garbage all over...

This park used to be great. There are wide open fields to play. Soccer fields and baseball diamonds. There are also bathrooms and a playground area with slides and swings. The park has changed as now the playground area is surrounded by uncut grass and ant hills. The playground equipment is in a dangerous state as wood and plastic ties are used as a barrier to the slides. The city needs to upgrade their maintenance and not close the fields to the tax...

It's nice that it's around a whole bunch of fields and Greenery and it's in the middle and center of all the baseball fields but the playground could be used to get updated but other than that it's probably the funding that they're trying to keep more of the baseball fields maintained than the playground hopefully a new playground will come in soon they're supposed to replace either every 6 or 13 years. My five year old and three year old got...

I’m sure at some point this was a very nice complex but now it’s rundown. Dugouts are missing canopies, trash, weeds, and cigarette butts are everywhere. Bleachers are rusty. The whole place is just kind of gross. Just make sure you are up to date on your tetanus shot and I’m sure you’ll be fine.
