Dollar General — Local services in Cardington Township

I have never encountered someone as rude as Tammy, the general manager, at this store. I cannot tell you how much money we have spent in the store. I have never had any bad service from anyone in that store. It’s all been good from everyone, except for the general manager, which I do not understand. My little girl and I went inside the store to purchase food and we had coins and a one dollar bill. There was no one at the register to check us out and so we had to go through the self check out. Tammi came and stood next to us and told us not to ever bring a huge amount of change in because the register might get stuck. I had $.97 worth of pennies to put in the machine and instead of her offering to help she huffed and puffed and banged things around and humiliated us instead. When I got home, I called the store to find out who the general manager is and it was her. Instead of listening to my complaint, she decided to argue with me and huff and puff over the phone and get excited about that and so there ultimately is nowhere else to go. This WOULD be 5 stars, but there is a woman who works here named Tammy who is a COMPLETE HAG to customers!!!! EVERY time we go in there and she’s working, she’s incredibly rude. Just yesterday we were in there for the first time since the remodel - so of course EVERYTHING is different- and we asked about something being in stock. This woman proceeded to look at us like we were stupid and, in a very smartassy way, began to showcase and point to empty shelves.

We used to think maybe she was just having a bad day and we would go out of our way to say hello and be friendly… but no matter WHAT we said or did- she was always horribly rude and snarky.

I heard this woman is THE MANAGER?!?!?!? Wow. GET BETTER MANAGEMENT. She has the WORST public relations & customer service skills.

I usually have all good things to say about the cardington store BUT I went in the store to do some Christmas shopping for our residents 5 of them so you can imagine how time consuming that would be WELL first the cashier acted disgusted with us because it was time consuming and the manager herself was sooo HATEFUL because the store was a mess well were not the ones who messed it up but she really acted like we did it all anyways this was the first really bad experience I've had at this store and the manager has had so many complaints about her but nothing is ever done...
