This is a beautiful calm nature preserve that is great for walking, bird watching and seeing native plants. The rains last year really created a lot more growth and abundant blooms. Mosquitoes can be bad at dusk but they are usually only in certain areas. Dogs are allowed on leashes as far as I know, I see lots and there are doggie bags available at trail markers. The parking lot is small. There are 3 different spots that you can park at, one at either end of the trail and one in the middle.
