Me and my wife were on a casual visit to this park a year back to assess if it would be interesting for 4 of our grand children if we bring them (all under 5 years) but went back with no positive view on it. A year later, yesterday, we happened to stop by again. There is a substantial change this time.
Due to White River flooding I guess, we could not go on the trail nor visit the kids' play area inside the trail. We saw only the play area at the entrance of the park which included among others a game too, which the kids and their parents took can participate and enjoy. We returned with a very positive view this time and decided to visit soon once the water that sub-merged most of the park and trails recedes. It will perhaps be followed with another visit with grand children who I believe will enjoy thoroughly..
Looks like, trail passes through a forest and along the White River and has a rubberized surface that is wheelchair friendly. May be, 5 stars on next visit when we can...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have been going to River Heritage park every day for the last 4 years to be able to throw frisbee for our dog. Today was an experience I will not forget. We pulled in and parked as usual in the opening of the overflow parking area (as we always do) a Carmel clay work truck pulled in behind us laying on the horn and screaming about how we are not allowed to park there. The man was extremely rude. Trying to talk to him as a civil adult was not an option. He elected to call the police. Thank In visits prior the employees have been very nice. They have at times even come out to play with our dog. In any event, we left after speaking to law enforcement and will not be back. We will be following up with management regarding his professionalism. Attached to this review are some of the fun times my dog has had there and will likely miss out on due to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was very excited to check out this park after seeing that it was redone. I had never been to the park before so I canāt compare it to how it was before but my 2yo loved it. The lights/sounds game (neos) was the main thing my 2yo enjoyed. And it was really fun to see it being used to bring many kids together to play. I liked that the playground areas were spaced out along the walking path. I can see that being helpful on days when there are a lot of people at the park so that kids have a chance to visit different spots to play. The zip line was great! One of the triangle-shaped swings was broken/damaged the day we went so hopefully that gets taken care of quickly. Overall we really enjoyed this park and I canāt...
