We initially missed the designated parking and ended up following our GPS, which unfortunately took us to a nearby private property where access is not allowed.
We had to turn back and search for the official parking lot, which we eventually found just a little earlier on the same route.
Fortunately, there is ample parking available once you’re in the right place.

Read moreIt's a very beautiful place! We hiked there on New Years Day. It was a cloudy day with no rain, but it had rained two days previously. The trail was wet but not muddy with a little snow near the falls. It was steep, Rocky and a bit slippery near the top after the fork from the Serene Lake trail.
There were a couple of easy fords over shallow streams, mainly hopping on rocks or going over branches or logs in the water.
The falls were gorgeous, with crystals of ice everywhere from the spray. Absolutely worth the effort to hike up there.
