Liberty Theater is the oldest, longest consecutive running movie theater in Oklahoma. Liberty is over a 100 years old. It still has the original movie theater room with an IMAX. There have been two other theater rooms added on to the existing building. Prices are the most reasonable around. $4.50 a ticket the prices for 3D are $6.00 a ticket. All the movies that are shown are first run movies! Meaning it's all the new release movies we get them first.. Concessions are just as reasonable hot dogs or"Show Dogs" as we call them for those of us who grew up here in Carnegie, Oklahoma come in a variety of ways. The chili is a secret family recipe. The fountain drinks are called "Show Pop or Show Coke" they are mixed just the right perfection of syrup and carbonation and chipped ice. Liberty also offers a variety of popular boxed and bagged candies and bagged chips. Then there is the freshly popped popcorn. Mine happens to be layered buttered popcorn which does cost a bit extra but so worth it. The concessions are various prices. But I can tell you this I can take a family of 4 all of us get a show dog, show coke? Popcorn, and a candy and not spend more than $40.00. Im not sure of his name but a blonde boy who drives a black dodge pickup smashes peoples dogs and then hides when confronted about it. He allows his co workers to take the hit whikst he hides away in his oick up. Other than him, this is one of the best places youll ever visit in the entire world. It's a blast from the past with a bit of modernism added. Jerry the owner is a great guy as well. Cheap movies, great atmosphere, solid snack menu and the softdrink machine.... the best mix of syrup to water ratio i believe ive ever tasted. seriously!
